Funeral arrangements for Officer Crowder

The funeral arrangements for Officer Joseph Crowder have been finalized.
The public viewing will be from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 22 at St. John’s Missionary Baptist Church, 900 N. Seacrest Blvd., Boynton Beach, FL 33435.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 23 at St. John’s Missionary Baptist Church.
***The Boynton Beach Police Department will be holding a memorial service for Officer Crowder on January 5, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Christ Fellowship Church, 801 N. Congress Ave., Boynton Beach, FL 33426. The public is invited and encouraged to attend. Further details about this ceremony will be released as it gets closer to the event date.***

Ofc Alegria observed a silver 2005 Honda Accord commit several traffic infractions. Contact was made with the driver, Sherman Larmor Griffin Jr, who was found to be in possession of 20.4 grams of marijuana. Griffin was taken into custody and TOT PBCJ.

Police investigating shooting death

Police continue to investigate the shooting death of a Boynton Beach man.
At this time, the shooter has been released from police custody pending further investigation. He is identified as Philorius Joseph, 32, of Delray Beach.
Joseph alleges that he shot Evan Herring, 28, in self-defense during an altercation in the Clipper Cove apartment complex at around 6:30 p.m. on Monday.... Click to View
