The Office of Media Relations is responsible for the release of information to the news media and the general public.
The public information officer serves as the police department's spokesperson and liaison to the community. She is the most accurate and timely source for information about the Boynton Beach Police Department. The PIO understands the importance of using the media as a resource to keep the public informed of the department's activities.
She is on call 24 hours a day to respond to major incidents that generate media interest. She also writes the department's press releases, organizes press conferences and maintains the department's web sites.
