The responsible ownership of household pets includes the spaying
and neutering of our companion animals.
It is unlawful to breed any dog or cat within Palm Beach County
without first obtaining a hobby breeder permit or a commercial
kennel license if applicable. Applications can be obtained by
contacting Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control at
561.233.1200.
This life-saving ordinance is strictly enforced by both PBC
Animal Care and Control and Boynton Beach Animal Control.
Boynton Beach Animal Control is an enforcement entity; and as
such, does not employ a veterinarian or provide medical services
of any kind to personal pets. However, there are many
organizations within Palm Beach County that offer low-cost
sterilization and rabies vaccination programs.
