An 11-time convicted felon has been identified as the man who shot at three people inside a car Sunday afternoon on Boynton Beach Boulevard.
James Frederick, 29 of Boynton Beach was already in the Palm Beach County Jail when Boynton Beach Police detectives charged him with attempted second-degree murder, discharging a firearm in public and felon in possession of a firearm or ammunition.
The victims told detectives that the shooting occurred after two men walked into the middle of the roadway as the car was approaching the 200 block of Boynton Beach Boulevard. One person inside the car made a hand gesture to express frustration when Frederick pulled a gun from his waistband and began firing at the car.
No one inside the car was injured, however, bullets struck the vehicle five times.
