17-018944 1533hrs Disorderly Intoxication 701 W Ocean Ave
Officers responded to the above address in reference to a white male, identified as Tyler Dancer, causing a verbal disturbance while intoxicated. Dancer was subsequently arrested for Disorderly Intoxication. While in custody, Dancer became combative and began banging his head against the holding cell door. Dancer was then placed in the restraint chair. Dancer did sustain a self-inflicted left wrist injury from attempting to remove his hands out of the handcuffs. Dancer was medically cleared at BMH. He was later TOT PBCJ.

17-018197 2037hrs Overdose (fatal) 141 SE 8th Ave
Officers responded to the above address in reference to a deceased male. Officers along with Fire Rescue confirmed that the patient was deceased in the laundry room. There were signs and evidence of an apparent overdose. Detective Bureau/Crime Scene responded to scene. Elite Removal responded and recovered the body. Next of Kin notified.
17-019027 0030hrs Possession of Heroin N Seacrest Blvd/Gateway Blvd
Officer Alegria conducted a traffic stop on a black 2016 Jeep SUV for a traffic infraction. The driver, identified as John Raymond Forrest, was found to be in possession of 1.6 grams of heroin along with drug paraphernalia. Forrest was taken into custody and later TOT PBCJ.
Officers assisted the Narcotics Investigation Unit during a drug enforcement operation targeting several high drug areas throughout the city.
17-018831 0633hrs Motor Vehicle Theft (Attempt) 480 W. Boynton Bch Blvd.
Victim advised that unknown suspect(s) entered their vehicle and stole property from within. Entry was made by damaging the front passenger door lock. The ignition was also punched in what appeared to be an attempt to steal the vehicle.

Victim advised that unknown suspect(s) entered their vehicle and stole property from within. Entry was made by damaging the front driver side door lock.

Victim advised that unknown suspect(s) entered their vehicle and stole property from within. Entry was made by damaging the front driver side door lock.
Assist BBFR 1402hrs Crosspointe Elementary School
At 1402hrs multiple units responded to Crosspointe Elementary in reference to a possible fire. Upon arrival PD units assisted Fire Rescue personnel. It was determined that the possible fire was actually a discharged Dry Chem extinguisher which discharged on the second floor at dismissal time. All students and school board personnel were safely evacuated and dismissal was completed without incident.
