15-034909 Warrant Arrest 3200 S. Congress Avenue
Officer Shepaum arrested W/M Justin Meadows, after a complete records check revealed an outstanding Violation of Probation (VOP) warrant. Justin was transported to the Palm Beach County Jail, without incident.
15-034954/70 Fight/Affray/Shots Fired Ocean Breeze Circle
Several Officers originally responded to a fight involving 30+ juveniles; as officers arrived no fight was in progress – nevertheless, approximately 300 juveniles were attending a house party on Ocean Breeze Circle where smell of marijuana and alcohol was in the breeze. Officers made several attempts to educate the adolescents’ that having an open house party is unlawful; however, their verbal instructions fell on deaf ears. Additional officers were summoned and a majority of the crowd dispersed. Later, Boynton Beach Communications received another report of 20+ juveniles fighting; which escalated to a report of shots fired.
15-034971 Shots Fired/Suspicious Vehicle Ocean Breeze Circle
As officers responded to the above shots fired incident; a vehicle matching the description provided by the anonymous complainant was leaving the area at a high rate of speed. After some evasive maneuvers the subject vehicle stopped at NW 3rd Street and NW 2nd Avenue. Officers did not locate any victims/crime scene/witnesses; hence the shots fired incident was reclassified to a suspicious incident. The driver was issued several citations (i.e. DWLS/etc.) and the subject vehicle was towed.
15-034968 Suspicious Person(s) w/ Firearm 400 block of SW 10th Avenue
Several Officers responded to 2 B/M’s walking in the roadway brandishing firearms; nonetheless, upon officers’ arrival no individuals matching description were located. However, the resident at 438 SW 10th Avenue was having an open house party with approximately 200 attendees, where the smell of marijuana and alcohol was emanating from party patrons and house. Officers did not locate any victims/crime scene/witnesses; hence the firearm wielding incident was reclassified to a suspicious incident.
In addition, approximately 150 vehicles were parked on both sides of the roadway, blocking the flow of emergency vehicles and normal traffic. Officers made several attempts to educate the attendees that blocking the roadway was unlawful; however, their verbal instructions fell on deaf ears. Additional officers were summoned; at which time, several city ordinance parking fines were given and an unregistered/abandoned vehicle was towed. Later, a majority of the vehicles/persons voluntarily departed.
15-034979 Grand Theft Auto (GTA) – Arrest SE 2nd Street
Officer Shepaum made contact with the occupant of a suspicious vehicle, B/M Garrick Haughton, at the aforesaid location. A complete records check gleaned the subject vehicle was reported stolen on July 30, 2015. Later, Haughton was criminally charged with GTA and subsequently transported to the Palm Beach County Jail, without incident.
15-034994 Cat Burglary Sussex St. 0407hrs
Officers responded to the above location in ref. to a cat burglary in progress. The suspect(s) entered a vehicle belonging to the resident of the location and used the garage door opener to open the garage and make entry. The occupants woke up and called 911. The suspect(s) were GOA. No items taken.
15-035011 Cat Burglary Manor Forest Trail 0828hrs
Officers responded to the above address in ref. to a cat burglary. Suspect(s) entered the resident’s vehicle and opened the garage door partially and entered the garage. The owner of the residence flash light was found across the street. The only item taken was the garage door opener. Crime scene responded.
15-035013 Cat Burglary Manor Forest Trail 0838hrs
Officers responded to the above address in ref. to a cat burglary. Suspect(s) entered the resident’s vehicle and opened the garage door partially and entered the residence. An IMAC computer was taken from the office within the residence. The computer information was entered into N/FCIC. Crime scene responded.
15-035079 Uttering a Forged Check – Arrest 706 W. Boynton Beach Blvd.
Officer Hoffman arrested B/M Derriel L. Wallace, after a succinct investigation revealed that Wallace uttered a forged check. Wallace was charged accordingly and subsequently transported to the Palm Beach County Jail, without incident.
15-035106 Vehicle Burglary – Delayed Aspen Leaf Drive
Officers met with W/M Christopher Cox, who reported that sometime between July 31st and August 1st – an unknown person(s) burglarized his vehicle. The contents of the vehicle were strewn about and noticeably missing was the garage door opener. Crime Scene was negative due to time delay.
15-035116 Exposure of Sex Organs – Arrest 801 N. Congress Avenue
Officer Picciano arrested B/M James Leocal, after a thorough investigation revealed that Leocal acted or behaved in a lewd or lascivious manner. Leocal was charged accordingly and subsequently issued a Notice to Appear (NTA).
15-035127 Vehicle Burglary – Delayed E. Ocean Avenue
Officers met with W/F Jenny Durango, who reported that sometime between 2000 hours and 2100 hours – an unknown person(s) burglarized her vehicle as it was parked along the street. The contents of the vehicle were strewn about and noticeably missing was an iPad®. Crime Scene was negative due to inclement weather.
15-035135 Disorderly Conduct – Arrest 131 E. Boynton Beach Blvd. (KFC)
Officer Vargas arrested W/M Scott Coffey, after it was learned that he was causing a disturbance at the aforesaid business. Coffey was released with a Notice to Appear (NTA).
15-035234 Burglary Auto Aspen Leaf Dr. 1040hrs
Officers responded to the above location in ref. to a burglary auto. Unknown suspect(s) entered the victim’s vehicle and took $5.00. The victim’s SSN card was stolen also.
15-035239 Vandalism Auto NE 15th Ave. 1114hrs
Officers responded to the above address in ref. to a vandalism auto. The victim stated that she and her boyfriend had an argument. The victim stated that she went inside, and a few moments later heard a loud bang. When she went outside she observed her boyfriend walking away and the passenger window smashed out. The officer is attempting to contact the boyfriend and the investigation is ongoing.
15-035250 Strong Arm Robbery 650 N. Congress Ave. (Target) 1255hrs
Officers responded to the above address in ref. to a retail theft in progress. Upon arrival the suspects had fled in a silver Acura TL. The LPOs stated that the B/F’s attempted to steal school clothes and when security stopped the suspects they began to attack the LPOs. No other suspect information.
15-035281 Fenced Compound Burglary – Delayed NE 1st Street
Officers met with W/M Crawley, Gordon, who reported that sometime between 1625 hours and 1726 hours – an unknown person(s) burglarized his fenced compound. Once the unknown person(s) entered the compound, they committed acts of criminal mischief and theft. Crime Scene was not conducted at the victims’ request.
15-035323 City Ordinance Violation/Obstruction – Arrest 1005 N. Seacrest Blvd.
Officers Melo and James arrested B/M Benjamin Burton for city ordinance and obstruction. Burton was charged accordingly and subsequently transported to the Palm Beach County Jail, without incident.
