The victim reported that she met an unknown male at Ezell Hester to sell her cellular phone. The unknown suspect grabbed it from her hand and fled the area on foot. Minimal suspect information available.
17-5853 1945 hours Strong Arm Robbery 225 NW 12th Ave
One male juvenile was detained after the victim reported his cell phone was taken from his hands while at the Sims Center. Detective Bureau personnel responded and conducted an interview. No probable cause exists at this time.
17-5874 2209 hours Shots Fired/Arrest 816 NW 3rd Street
Officers responded to the area of NW 3rd Street for a report of shots fired. A witness reported that an unknown male fired three rounds from a handgun into the air while walking down the street. Officers located a subject matching the description near 545 NW 5th Ave. The male dropped a back pack containing a loaded handgun, ammunition, and a ski mask as officers approached him. He was subsequently taken into custody and charged with Felon in Possession of a Firearm/Ammunition. No injuries or damage located. He was processed and sent to JAC

Officers responded to the report of a strong arm robbery. A purse was taken by force from the victim.
