18-07563 1911 hours Attempted Murder Aspen Leaf Dr.
Units responded to the above address in reference to a shooting involving a husband and wife. The victim called 911 advising he had been shot several times by his wife (w/f Lisa Barreca). While en-route to the above address, dispatch advised the wife had shot herself in the leg. Based on the life threatening exigent circumstances, entry was made into the residence. The victim was located in the living room with multiple gunshots to his chest, head and back. He was removed from the scene where he was taken to the hospital. Lisa was located in the garage with the firearm (.380 Ruger) where she surrendered to officers. Lisa was taken to the hospital with none life threatening injuries. After further investigation by BBPD Detectives, Lisa was charged with Attempted Murder. The victim remains hospitalized in stable condition.
18-007595 2142hours Traffic Accident/Trauma Alert 500 S. Seacrest Blvd.
Units responded to the above address in reference to a traffic accident involving a pedestrian. Upon arrival, they located a b/m/j (10 yoa) with a severe leg injury as a result of being struck by a 2012 Toyota Camry operated by B/M Irveltz Lafleur. Witnesses on scene stated the child was playing in the roadway, which was consistent with Irveltz’s statement. Further investigation revealed the child was being baby sat by his 15 yoa sister while his parents were at church. The child was transported to the hospital and is currently listed in stable condition. THI and Crime Scene responded. Investigation is on-going as of this writing.
18-007459 Burglary (Auto) 181 Meadows Dr 0850hrs
Officers responded to a burglary where the victim reported that an unknown suspect entered her 06 Honda Civic (FL Y19HCW) due to her doors being unsecured. Her Michael Kors sunglasses ($150) were located on the ground outside of the vehicle and nothing else appeared to be missing.
