18-007989 2004 hours Accident w/Injuries (THI callout) 3600 S Federal Hwy
Officers responded to Gulfstream Blvd and S Federal Hwy in reference to a vehicle versus two motorcycles crash. Both cyclists were ejected from their respective bikes, one with more serious injuries than the other. Due to the extent of the injuries, THI was called out to investigate the crash. At approximately 0130 hours, we were notified that one of the motorcyclists died as a result of his injuries.
18-007999 2105 hours Burglary (in-progress) Buttonwood Lane
Witness called 911 in reference to a black male wearing a hoodie opening car doors and using a flashlight to burglar cars. Responding units set up and perimeter, and the male was seen running from the Sandalwood development to Borgata. With the suspect boxed in, K-9 Iro was able to locate him in the backyard of 1439 Artimino Lane (Borgata). Victims/Witnesses from Sandalwood arrived for a positive show-up. The suspect turned out to be a 16 year old juvenile. He was charged with 1 count of burglary (auto) and 3 counts of burglary attempt. He was processed and taken to the Juvenile Assessment Center.

32 year old man was found unresponsive in the bathroom by his father. Responding officers administered Narcan. The male was transported to Bethesda Hospital by BBFR.
18-008019 0023 hours Overdose (Non-Fatal) 209 N Federal Hwy
30 year old male was found unresponsive in the rear parking lot of The Boardwalk Italian Ice & Creamer. Responding officers administered Narcan. The male was transported to Bethesda Hospital by BBFR.
AOD PBSO Homicide / Deputy Involved Shooting
Units assisted with shutting down northbound Interstate 95 traffic for several hours in reference to a homicide and deputy involved shooting scene in the area of Lantana and I-95.
Large volume of traffic on surface streets caused by the shutdown of I-95 contributed to several traffic crashes.
