18-008174 1751 hours Flee and Elude 550 N Congress Avenue
NIU agents attempted to stop a black 2002 Mitsubishi for displaying a non-valid temporary tag (S-250185) in the 200 block of N Congress Avenue. The driver of the car initially yielded and pulled into the parking lot of Best Buy but then rapidly accelerated east on Old Boynton Road. Officers followed from a safe distance as the driver became erratic. The Mitsubishi then turned east on W Ocean Drive which is a dead-end. Officers followed the car to the end of the road where it appeared the occupants were about to bail from the car. A felony stop was conducted and taken into custody was the driver, black male Jack Junior Noubert DOB and passenger, black male Brian S Kyles DOB 08-31-93. Another passenger, black male Shawn Ricky Jean Cabane DOB 10-13-91 was found to have an outstanding DNA warrant. Inside the driver area of the car, officers located a Smith & Wesson M&P Shield 9mm handgun and an assortment of narcotic pills. Noubert was charged with Flee & Eluding, DWLS, possession of marijuana <20 grams, possession of a firearm, possession of a controlled substance. Kyles was charged with possession of marijuana <20 grams. Noubert was sent to county jail; Kyles was released via NTA.
18-008178 1815 hours Possession of Contraband 8018 Stirrup Cay Court|
Officer Pires responded to this address in reference to a disturbance involving the sale and subsequent return of a motor vehicle. As he was concluding his investigation, he determined it was best to give the buyer black male Steeve Jean DOB 12-20-91 a ride out of the area since he had just returned to the sellthe car he bought earlier in the day. As he was dropping Jean off at the 7-11, 7044 Lawrence Road he detected a strong odor of marijuana emanating from one of Jean’s bags. Inside the bag, Officer Pires located marijuana and 9 acetaminophen and hydrocodone capsules. Jean was subsequently charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana <20 grams.
18-008242 2303 hours Suspicious Incident (shots fired) 641 NW 5th Street
Officers responded to the area in reference to a call of 2 gun shots heard. Officers canvassed the area and found no evidence of gun fire.
18-08098 1044 hours Narcotic Arrest 900 N. Seacrest Blvd.
Officer Jennings conducted a traffic stop on W/M, Joseph Whatmough, 09/06/89, whom was subsequently found to be in possession of a small quantity of Heroin. TOT PBCJ.
18-08160 1550 hours Strong Arm Robbery x 2 (Arrest) 138 W. Boynton Beach Blvd. (Cash-A-Check)
W/M suspect committed a strong arm robbery on two subjects then took flight on foot. Officer Sohn immediately coordinated a perimeter, thus leading to a successful apprehension of the suspect. Suspect was located hiding underneath a residence at 106 NE 4th Ave., whom complied with verbal orders to exit.
