16004825 1709 hours Burglary (Auto) 625 SE 2nd Ave
Victim reported that between 0900 and 1700 hours, person(s) unknown burglarized her 2014, BMW SUV, by smashing out the rear window and removing her purse which had been placed on the rear floorboard. Crime scene yielded a black jacket, lying just underneath the vehicle where the broken glass was, which appeared to have been used to protect the suspect(s), while breaking the glass and reaching inside. Jacket placed into BBPD evidence. Total loss is estimated at $1,465.
16004832 1826 hours Leaving the Scene/Giving False Info/Disorderly 2815 S Seacrest (Bethesda)
OFC Esteves responded to the above location in reference to a hit and run which had occurred inside the parking garage. The victim had followed the suspect vehicle and was able to identify the driver/suspect to OFC Esteves. During his investigation, Suspect h/m Jozef Dzoga, continued to yell obscenities at OFC Esteves and the victim, claiming that an unknown female had been driving the vehicle at the time of the collision. Dzoga continued his tirade until being placed under arrest, charged accordingly, and later transported to PBCJ.
16-04744 0841 hours Occupied Burglary NE 28th Ct.
Victim reported seeing an unknown person in the residence between 0420 and 0435 hours, which was mistaken to be another family member. Upon waking later in the morning, he discovered an Xbox 360 and 2 Kindle Fire pads taken. Entry was most likely through a sliding glass door that is periodically left unlocked and open for cool weather
Weather conditions kept calls for service at a minimum.
