18-000673 2323 hours Stolen Auto 600 Via Lugano Cir. #303.
A suspected fake call was placed to Papa John’s Pizza for delivery. When the driver arrived to deliver the pizza; unknown suspect(s), entered his 2005 Gold in color Chrysler Town and Country Van bearing Fl. Tag Y13-NME and fled the development. Upon notifying the police responding units located the illuminated Papa John’s sign at 2290 N. Congress Ave which had been discarded by the suspect(s). Vehicle was entered into NCIC/FCIC as stolen.
18-000682 0058 hours Attempted Cat Burglary 2506 SW 23rd Cranbrook Cir.
Units responded to the above address in reference to an in progress Cat Burglary. The resident advised he interrupted the suspect cutting the screen to the kitchen window in an attempt to gain entry. Upon sight of the homeowner, the suspect fled in a Southeast direction on foot. The suspect is described as a B/M with dreadlocks wearing a tie dye shirt.
18-000575 Burglary Auto 2290 N. Congress Ave. (LA Fitness) 1405 hours
Victim advised that his white 2010 Chevy Malibu was burglarized on 01-02-18 while parked in front of LA Fitness. The victim’s wallet, containing several credit cards, was removed from the center console. The vehicle may have been left unlocked due to the lack of forced entry.
18-000653 Suspicious Incident / Shots Fired 1420 NW 1st Ct. 2101 hours
Officers responded to the above area in reference to a report of shots fired. An anonymous complainant advised that a black or burgundy Chevy Cobalt with a tail light out made several laps around the area shooting each time they passed. There were several calls made from various complainants regarding this however, officers were unable to locate any shell casings or victims in the area.
18-000545 Vehicle Burglary 7846 Manor Forest Dr 1025hrs
Officers received a report of a delayed burglary to an 09 Mazda 6 where a .40cal Glock 22 and a .380 Ruger LCP were removed from the vehicle. Incident occurred between 2100hrs on 1/2/18 and 0630 on 1/3/18 The victim provided a serial number for the Glock which was entered into FCIC/NCIC.
18-000554 Overdose Death 1301 Tuscany Way 1013hrs
32 year old w/f was found unresponsive at the above address. She was transported to Bethesda Hospital where she was subsequently pronounced deceased. The investigation thus far has determined that she had overdosed on an unknown narcotic.
