18-001626 2001 hours Possession of Contraband 1400 Miner Road
B/F Erika R Gordon DOB 11-05-98 was arrested for possession of marijuana <20 grams following a traffic stop. Gordon was processed and released with a NTA. 18-001634 2023 hours Possession of Contraband 500 W Gateway Blvd B/M Torres Jenkins Jr. DOB 11-19-96 was arrested for possession of Xanax without a prescription and possession of marijuana <20 grams following a traffic stop. Jenkins was processed and sent to county jail. 18-001661 2220 hours Overdose (Non-Fatal) 3613 High Ridge Way #104 45 year-old male and 38 year-old female were found unresponsive in their bedroom by the man’s daughter. She administered Narcan to her father prior to police arrival. Both patients were transported to JFK Hospital. 18-001671 2324 hours Stolen Auto 3490 Quantum Lakes Drive Victim reported that between 2130 hours and 2315 hours unknown person(s) stole her white 2015 Ford Escape bearing FL tag Z19BUR. It should be noted that earlier this date, victim reported her car keys stolen while she was at the community’s fitness center (see case #18-001606). The vehicle was entered into FCIC/NCIC as stolen. 18001522 0740hrs Overdose (Fatal) 720 Asbury Way 18-001523 0745hrs Missing Endangered Adult 1010 Fosters Mill Rd. Multiple units and agencies assisted in the search for a missing adult with dementia who had wandered away from the residence. After hours of searching, neighborhood canvassing on foot, in vehicle and with air support as well as reverse 9-1-1 activation and a media blitz, she was located in West Palm Beach. She was unharmed and reunited with her family. 18-001404 1839 hours Possession of Contraband 3400 High ridge Road B/M Jason A Williams DOB 05-09-74 was arrested for possession of marijuana <20 grams following a lawful traffic stop. Williams was released with a NTA. 18-001447 2037 hours Civil Unrest/Affray/Resisting 801 N Congress Avenue Officers responded to the Mall in reference to 200 – 300 juveniles loitering inside the Mall being unruly. Upon the Mall closing at 2100 hours, the crowd of juveniles began to congregate at Cinemark, 1151 N Congress Avenue. The movie of choice was not playing until 2230 hours and Cinemark management advised that they would not be seating moviegoers until 2200 hours. Approximately 15 on-duty officers and 2 detail officers stood by for crowd control. While awaiting the theater doors to open, several fights among female juveniles began. As officers intervened and separated the fighting parties, other male juveniles attempted to interfere with those arrests. Cinemark management cancelled the 2230 showing and requested that the theater and adjacent parking lot be cleared out. Order was restored at approximately 2345 hours as groups of juveniles began causing problems at other location near and around the theater to include: Buffalo Wild Wings, I-Hop, Bru’s Room, 24 Hour Fitness, and McDonalds. In all, 11 juveniles were arrested on a variety of misdemeanor charges. All were processed and released to the custody of their parents. No officers were injured and no damage to city property. 18-001284 0914hrs Theft (In-progress) 5000 N. Ocean Blvd. Ofc. Kimball responded to a theft of a bicycle in progress. While enroute, he noticed a suspect matching the description riding a bicycle westbound on Woolbright Rd. Ofc. Kimball attempted to stop the suspect who subsequently left the bicycle behind and fled from the scene. Property recovered, suspect was not located. The bicycle was reunited with its rightful owner who declined to prosecute. 18-001083 1742 hours Burglary (Auto) 191 SE 27th Court Victim reported that between 2200 hours on 01/04/18 and 0600 hours this date both of his vehicles (gold 2010 Toyota Camry bearing FL tag 316PXR and black 2008 Honda Accord bearing FL tag HXJJ28) were entered by unknown person(s) via unknown means (both cars locked). Victim stated that both were rummaged through with nothing of value taken. The unknown suspect(s) damaged the locking mechanism of the glove box on the Honda. 18-001162 2231 hours Possession of Contraband 100 Meadows Circle B/M Tepson Orelus DOB 02/13/94 was arrested for possession of marijuana >20 grams after a traffic stop in Meadows on the Green. Orelus was issued a NTA.
18-001178 2357 hours Deadly Missile/Occupied Dwelling 114 NE 4th Avenue
Victim reported that unknown person(s) had shot at his house breaking a window. Responding officers upon seeing the window knew the damage was not caused by a bullet. Inside the residence, officers located a baseball sized rock adjacent to the window. The victim, upon being told it was a rock, advised he did not want us to pursue any further investigation.
