w/m John Grummel 04/05/1958 was arrested after investigation revealed that he attempted to fight with several nurses and emergency room personnel after arriving at the hospital while heavily under the influence of alcohol and possible other narcotics. He was arrested, medically cleared, processed, and lodged at PBCJ.
17034239 2041 hours Battery on Nurse / Disorderly Intox./ Resisting Bethesda / 2815 S Seacrest
w/m Robert Douglas 12/19/1991 was arrested after investigation revealed that he did strike an attending nurse with a fist causing injury to the victim’s mouth. Once medically cleared and upon arriving at BBPD for processing, he refused to comply with officers and physical force had to be utilized in order to gain compliance. He was processed and later lodged at PBCJ. Use of Force completed. SIR in progress.

w/f dob 05/02/1985 was found and later pronounced deceased from what appeared to be an apparent overdose. Detective Liaison, Crime Scene, and Body Removal Specialist responded. Medical Examiner notified.

17034275 0118 hours Armed Robbery (Attempted) 51 Egret Way
Victim was exiting his vehicle to enter his residence when he was approached by two (2) unknown black males wearing hoodies. One brandished a handgun and demanded the victim’s property. Victim took flight and was able to evade the suspects, entering his residence through the rear, and secured himself inside. K9 search yielded negative results.
17-034108 0707 hours Burglary (Auto) 511 Buttonwood Lane
Victim reported that between 2100 hours last night and 0700 hours this date unknown person(s) entered her silver 2006 Nissan 350Z convertible bearing FL tag EUWD88 and her black 2004 Ford Mustang convertible bearing FL tag AMSR18 by cutting the convertible tops to both vehicles. The interiors of both vehicles were rummaged through but nothing at this time appears missing.
17-034129 0855 hours Burglary (Structure) 2303 S Federal Hwy
The property manager of the Fairfield apartments advised that between 1800 hours last night and 0830 hours this date unknown person(s) entered the stand alone laundry by climbing through an unsecured window. Once inside the unknown suspect(s) attempted to break into the coin-operated washers; however, they haven’t worked in months and contained no coins. The unknown suspect(s) attempted to leave via the main door by kicking it but were unsuccessful ($50 damage). They apparently left through the same window they entered through.
17-034172 1352 hours Disorderly Intoxication 4753 N Congress Avenue
B/M Donald Willie DOB 03/13/64 was arrested after numerous complaints called advising that Willie was drunk and harassing customers in Meadows Square Shopping Center. Upon contact with him, Willie became belligerent and began shouting racial slurs at the officers in front of patrons. Willie was processed and sent to county jail.
17-034003 Overdose non-fatal 600 E Wool Bright Road 16:30 hours
W/M was located on the floor of Wendy’s right beside a W/F. Narcan was administered; BBFR arrived and provided additional care for both individuals. Both subjects were transported to Bethesda Memorial Hospital and are expected to make a full recovery.
17-034011 Overdose non-fatal W Gateway Blvd & NW 1st St 17:08 hours
W/M was found unconscious with agonal breathing along the grass embankment of I-95. BBFR administered Narcan to him and transported him to JFK Hospital. He is expected to make full recovery.
17-034049 Police Assist 100 NE 10th Ave 1908 hours
BBPD responded to MLK in reference to a large gathering of approximately 500 people. A DJ playing loud music had set up on CRA property; subsequently moved his equipment after he was informed a permit was required. Due to the large crowd officers made multiple contacts and provided approximately two hours of officer presence in the area.
17-034069 Suspicious Incident/Shots Fired 100 NE 10th Avenue 22:07 hours
BBPD east and west units were deployed to the area of 100 NE 10th Avenue in reference shots fired. Units staged at city shop prior to the arrival of the area where officers took multiple perimeter spots around the incident. As people dispersed the area; units conducted a search for anything of evidentiary value yielding negative results. All traffic was cleared out and the music was shut down for the evening. Officers cleared area without incident.
17-034073 Armed Robbery SW 1st St & SW 3rd Avenue 23:22 hours
Victim advised he and a friend were walking in the area of SW 3rd Avenue and SW 3rd Street when a black 4 door vehicle possibly a Kia or Ford Fusion pulled up and attempted to sell them drugs. Once they declined the B/M passenger asked for a cigarette, when the victim approached the vehicle the passenger displayed a handgun and demanded the victim get inside the vehicle. The victim got into the rear seat and once inside both the driver and passenger pointed handguns at the victim while demanding his jewelry (gold square medallion) and i-phone and watch.. The victim was driven two blocks before he was allowed to exit the vehicle. The driver was described as a B/M 25-30 yoa with facial hair, red hat, and a tattoo on his face. The passenger was described as a 25-30 yoa with short hair, goatee and tattoo on his face.
17-034074 Disorderly Intox 305 NE 13th Avenue 23:32 hours
BBPD was dispatched to MLK in reference to ongoing complaint (17-034049) of a large block party consisting of more than 500 people standing on the sidewalks and blocking the roadway. While clearing the area, we received a 911 call reference to possible shots fired in the 300 block of NE 13 Avenue. As units responded to the area they conducted a traffic stop. During the stop B/F Precious Jeater was arrested for Disorderly Intox after she continued to yell racial slurs inciting bystanders and refused to leave the area.
Saturation Patrol produced approximately 25 traffic stops/10 citations
4 Briny Breeze Patrols were conducted by B1B2 shift.

Victim advised that sometime overnight an unknown suspect(s) entered his unsecured white 2015 Dodge Ram (CT# 043957) and stole his wallet from the center console.
17-033844 1851 hours Overdose (Non Fatal) 110 SW 15th Ct.
17-033856 2110 hours Obstruction/Resisting Arrest w/o Violence 300 Boynton Lakes Blvd.
Units responded to the above address in reference to a complaint of a homeless family taking up residence in the park. While investigating the above incident B/M Melvin Goodwin became belligerent and had to be taken to the ground forcefully. As a result Goodwin suffered minor lacerations to his arm and complained of wrist pain. He was subsequently taken to Bethesda; where he was medically cleared and tot PBCJ on the above charges.
17-033872 2306 hours Fleeing and Eluding/Bail Out 400 NW 11th Ave.
While on patrol at 100 NW 10th Ave., Officer Autiello spotted a 93’ Tan Toyota Camera bearing FL tag 648QUX traveling at a high rate of speed west bound. Autiello attempted a traffic stop on the vehicle but it failed to yield initially; however, at the 400 block of NW 11th Ave. the driver bailed from the moving vehicle and fled north bound on foot. The vehicle continued moving without a driver where it struck a stop sign at the above intersection. Units set up a perimeter but met with negative results in locating the suspect. Through further investigation Officer Autiello was able to identify the driver/suspect as B/M Gyran Nobles dob 4-5-93. PC currently exists for Fleeing and Eluding, Reckless Driving, DWLS and R/A without violence.

Victim advised that their 2016 Kia bearing FL tag CLD H39 was stolen sometime overnight.
17-033738 0930hrs Burglary Structure 2700 N. Federal Hwy.
Witness advised that four unknown black males were observed on video surveillance entering the gated community at approximately 1949hrs on 06/16/2017 and stealing a Diamondback bicycle from the parking garage.

17-033593 Overdose Non-Fatal 512 Asbury Way 17:02 hours
W/M was found laying on the ground unconscious but breathing. BBPD started rescue efforts and shortly after BBFD arrived and immediately transported him to Bethesda Hospital. He is expected to make a full recovery.
17-033594 Theft 344 SW 11th Avenue 17:08 hours
BBPD responded to the area in reference to a vehicle (white, Chevy impala tag IFWK93) following an ups truck. The caller advised the vehicle was involved in the theft of a package taken off the callers doorstep. Subsequent to the stop both subjects, B/M/Juvenile and B/M Basil Michael M 6/3/97 were arrested for theft and scheme to defraud. A black Taurus 9mm handgun was located inside the vehicle.
17-033601 Burglary to Residence/Delayed 2400 SW 9th Avenue #104 18:11 hours
Victim advised she had left her residence on June 13th at 1800 hours and returned on June 16th at approximately 18:11 hours. While checking her front patio she noticed several items that did not belong to her as well as her patio furniture knocked over. During a check inside the residence she observed unknown debris on the kitchen floor. It is unknown how entry was made as the doors were locked and windows intact. Nothing was missing from inside the residence.
17-033629 Deadly Missile/Occupied Vehicle E Gateway and N Federal Hwy 20:43 hours
Driver stated he was travelling eastbound on Gateway Blvd around the 300 block when he heard a loud noise from the exterior of his vehicle (white Ford van Tag Y02BML). The driver stopped his vehicle for inspection and found a dent on the right rear door. When he checked the area where he originally heard the noise he found a coconut in the road.
17-033663 R/A w/o Violence NE 10th Ave and NE 7th Ave 23:05 hours
W/M Strickland Troy J 5/5/79 was arrested for Resisting without violence. BBPD responded to the area in reference to a suspicious person walking in the area with a back pack on. Strickland was observed riding a bike at night without a light. When the officer told him to stop he continued to ride his bike away from the officer’s location refusing to stop. After a short distance he stopped for the officer and was taken into custody.

Victim advised that their 2016 Kia Soul was stolen when they left it running and unoccupied and went into the business.
