16013776 2003 hours FTA (Warrant) / Resisting / AOD 2200 SE 3rd St
OFC Esteves initiated a traffic stop for a registration violation. Contact was made with the occupants of the vehicle, identified as w/f Nicole Dietrich dob 01/16/1989 and b/m Peterson Camille dob 06/05/1995. An F/NCIC check revealed that both had active warrants for Failure to Appear. Upon trying to place Camille under arrest, he actively resisted by breaking free from OFC Esteves’ grip and attempted to flee on foot. OFC Esteves utilized his Taser, which was effective, allowing Camille to be placed into custody without further incident. He was transported to Bethesda for medical clearance due to the fall, processed, and later lodged at PBCJ. Use of Force completed and SIR to follow.
16013794 2138 hours Shots Fired 821 NE 1st St.
Officers responded to the above location in reference to shots being fired. Upon arrival, officers were met by multiple residents of the apartment complex. All parties claimed that an unknown dark vehicle stopped in front on the building and fired multiple shots at the front of the complex. Crime scene (building, parking lot, parked vehicles, etc.) and a canvas of the area yielded no evidence that supported the claim.
16013813 2320 hours Failed to Stop / Felony Fleeing and Eluding 800 N Seacrest Blvd
OFC Alegria initiated a traffic stop on a 2009, Ford, 2 door, black in color. The vehicle failed to yield and began driving recklessly all around the Chery Hill area. Officers discontinued their efforts and the vehicle was last seen driving south on NW 3rd St. from NW 12th Ave. The driver, identified b/m Lamar Thurman dob 03/17/1990, was later taken into custody in reference to BBPD#16013815, processed, and later lodged at PBCJ.
16013815 2322 hours Accident (single vehicle) Boynton Beach Blvd @ I-95 Ramp (northbound)
Officers responded to the above location in reference to multiple calls in regards to a single vehicle accident in which the vehicle had struck a metal guardrail. Upon arrival to the scene, it was discovered that the vehicle involved was the vehicle that had eluded officers just minutes earlier. OFC Alegria and OFC Montoute were able to positively identify the driver, identified as Lamar Thurman dob 03/17/1990, who was still at the scene. Witnesses to the accident, advised that two other unidentified males had exited the vehicle and ran from the scene prior to officers arrival. A search of the area yielded negative results for the passengers.
16-13699 1218 hours Failed To Stop 400 W. Boynton Beach Blvd.|
A silver Honda Civic with FL tag # 353QCW was observed travelling approximately 80 m.p.h. on Boynton Beach Blvd. when it was observed by Sgt. Hawkins. The vehicle then headed northbound on NE 3rd St. and Sgt. Hawkins was able to maneuver behind it and activate his emergency lights and sirens in an attempt to stop it, but the driver failed to yield. The vehicle returned back to Boynton Beach Blvd. to head westbound on Boynton Beach Blvd., where Sgt. Hawkins terminated his attempt to stop the vehicle. The vehicle continued on and was last seen entering northbound I-95.
