17-027634 Overdose – Fatal 210 SE 4th Ave 1715hrs
Officers responded to the report of a male in medical distress. Officers arrived to find the 41 year old male displaying no obvious signs of life. BBFD Paramedics pronounced the male deceased at the scene. Officers located paraphernalia and narcotics around the decedent that suggested that the death may be the result of a drug overdose. D-Bureau and Crime Scene responded and took over the death investigation.
17-027658 Agg. Assault Firearm 1300 SW 35th Ave 1940hrs
Officers responded to Caloosa Park in reference to a disturbance. Officers met with the caller/victim who told officers that an unknown male pointed a black revolver at him. The victim said he was playing basketball with the unknown male when a verbal argument ensued. The argument escalated to the point where the unknown male retrieved a revolver and pointed the revolver at the victim. The unknown subject then fled the area prior to police arrival.
17-027693 Susp. Incident – Shots Fired 413 SE 4th St 2342hrs
Officers responded to the area following the report of a shooting. Officers conducted a thorough search of the area for evidence of a shooting. Officers did not find any tangible evidence of a shooting. In addition, the anonymous callers did not want to meet with the officers. Officers alerted area hospitals and requested to be notified if any persons were to come in their ER with gunshot wounds.
17-027728 Attempted Burglary – L&P 1848 N. Federal Hwy 0239hrs
Officers responded to Boost Mobile in reference to a burglary in progress. A witness contacted BBPD after seeing two subjects prying open a rear door to the business. Officers approached the rear of the business and observed the two subjects attempting to force entry into the rear door. The two subjects immediately took flight upon view of the officers. Officers were able to apprehended one juvenile subject after a short foot pursuit. The second unidentified subject fled eastbound and managed to break through an established perimeter. Officers search for the second subject with the assistance of K-9 and PBSO Eagle with the no success. The apprehended juvenile was charged and turned over to the J.A.C.

17-027542 0539 hours Stolen Auto 1622 NE 4th Street
Victim reported that between 2230 hours last night and 0530 hours this date unknown suspect(s) stole his tan 1978 Volkswagen Bus bearing FL tag 1978BUS from the parking lot of Scobee Combs funeral home (victim is employee). The vehicle was entered into FCIC/NCIC.
17-027549 0817 hours Burglary (Auto) 1102 Rialto Drive
Victim reported that between 2000 hours last night and 0800 hours this date unknown person(s) entered her 2007 silver Chrysler Pacifica bearing BZJW60 by unknown means (possibly unlocked doors). Once inside the unknown suspect(s) stole a black Swiss Army backpack ($150) containing an HP laptop ($1300).
17-027565 1010 hours Burglary (Residence) 426 NE 26th Avenue
Victim reported that home is under renovation. When he arrived at 0852 hours he noticed that the sliding glass door was open. Once inside he discovered that unknown suspect(s) had removed a Kenmore stove ($900) and an unknown make air conditioner handler ($6,000).

17-027607 1352 hours Suspicious Incident 1025 W Gateway Blvd
Officers responded to Tropical Smoothie in reference to an unattended suitcase found in the bathroom. The responding officers assessed the situation and in their determination felt that the suitcase was not accidentally left in the bathroom. PBSO was contacted for a bomb-sniffing K9. Per PBSO protocol K9 is sent to sniff the outer perimeter of the store and their EOD Unit responds to x-ray the package. It was subsequently determined be filled with clothes and did not pose a threat.
17-027610 1425 hours Overdose (Fatal) 112 SE 28th Avenue
Deceased was found in bed in his basement apartment by the landlord who noticed that the tenants bicycle had not been used in a couple of days.
