16-066615 00:55 hours 175 SE 28th Avenue Armed Robbery
Victim advised he was hit over the head and robbed by two unknown subjects. Suspects are a B/M, light skin, and a Hispanic male, in his 20’s. Suspects took $150 from the victim before they fled the area on foot.
16066427 – 0638hrs Burglary (Auto) 6 Mayfield Drive
A black 4dr 2015 Mazda 6 (FL tag DJV-R80) was burglarized by unknown suspects. The vehicle was left unlocked in the driveway. Nothing was reported to be missing. A surveillance camera captured two suspects in the area at approximately 0313hrs. One suspect carrying a flashlight was seen walking in front of the driveway of 5 Mayfield Way. Another suspect was seen inside of the victim’s vehicle, and also had a flashlight. One suspect was wearing blue shorts, a gray T-shirt, and a dark color cap. The video will be provided to the BBPD at a later time.
16066429 – 0705hrs Stolen Vehicle (Recovered) 130 NE 12th Ave.
During a traffic stop BBPD Officers recovered a 2008 white Ford F350 (FL tag Y06FAZ) that had been reported stolen (PBSO case #16-156601). The driver, Jason David Crooks, was taken into custody without incident and placed under arrest for Grand Theft Auto. Crooks was processed at BBPD and transported to the Palm Beach County Jail. The vehicle was removed by Beck’s Towing.
16066430 – 0725hrs Burglary (Business) 1626 South Federal Hwy.
Store manager reported that an unknown suspect shattered the front door of the Causeway Coin Laundry and entered the business. Due to prior incidents, she had changed the location of the cash and buckets of quarters, to prevent thieves from finding them. This appears to have been an effective strategy, as nothing was reported to be missing from the location. The total loss reported is the broken front door glass, which is estimated at $300. Crime scene responded and took pictures of the incident.
16066488 – 1256hrs Stolen Vehicle (Scooter) 2301 SE 4th Street #10
Victim reported her motor scooter (an orange 2015 TaoTao bearing FL tag #MAJM62) stolen from her residence parking lot. The tag and decal were attached. The vehicle keys remain with Torres. A BOLO entry was completed via BBPD records.
