Children ages 6 to 12 years old are invited to join us from 9 to 11 a.m., on Saturday, June 6 at BBPD Headquarters for our free Summer Bike Safety Rodeo. This fun and educational event will include bicycle safety inspections, a helmet and safety gear giveaway, hands-on cycling instruction, and more. Plus, four lucky participants will have the chance to take home a brand-new bicycle. BBPD’s Police Bicycle Response Officers will teach essential bike-handling techniques and important traffic safety rules to help young riders stay safe on the road. Space is limited to the first 30 participants, and attendees should be able to ride a bicycle without training wheels. Pre-registration is required.
