Since the beginning of the year, 40 guns have been stolen from cars in the City of Boynton Beach – a 60% INCREASE from 2017. Car doors were left unlocked in 18 of those 40 burglaries.
A car is not a safe or responsible place to store your gun. You have a responsibility as a gun owner to ensure that the weapon is secured at all times. If you must leave it in a car, make sure it is locked in a gun safe installed in the vehicle.
We need to work together to stop putting guns in the hands of criminals. The last thing anyone wants is for their firearm to be used to harm an innocent person, especially a child.
