Officers responded to the rear of Cinemark and met with a 24 year-old caller who alleged to have been robbed. The caller told officers that he was surrounded by 4 black males who attempted to steal his money. The caller said he fought off the suspects and all four suspects ran into a nearby wooded area. The caller then told officers that he believed the suspects were part of a motorcycle gang and all 4 suspects left the area on dirt bikes instead. Officers checked the area and did not locate any suspects or witnesses. The caller told officers that nothing was taken from him during the incident and he did not wish to prosecute if the suspects were to be located. The caller then signed a Refusal To Prosecute Form.
18-030525 Trespass Conv./Warrant 600 NE 2nd St 0146 hours
K9 Ofc. Schalk and partner IRO came across an occupied stolen vehicle while on patrol at the above location. The vehicle, a white Nissan Extera FL tag 932-QBQ, was parked near the roadway and Ofc Schalk observed 5 males inside the vehicle occupying various area of the passenger compartment. There was no one in the driver seat. Officers converged and conducted a felony stop on the vehicle. All 5 males were taken into custody and charged with Trespass in a Conveyance. One of the males was found to have a warrant and another was determined to be a runaway juvenile. Officers conducted post-Miranda interview of the subjects and officers discovered that the subjects were persons of interest or suspects in a string of vehicle burglaries that occurred in Palm Beach County. All of the subjects were turned over to PBCJ and JAC respectively.

A silver 2015 Ford Fusion with FL tag # DTAC70, was reported stolen sometime between 0130 and 1232 hours this day.
18-30459 1758 hrs Disorderly Intox. Arrest 640 SE 2nd Ave.
W/F, Leslie Monell, 01/29/61, was arrested after she entered a neighbor’s residence without permission and battered the neighbor. Victim did not want to prosecute, however; Monell was witnessed by responding officer, assaulting the victim while intoxicated. Monell subsequently arrested.
18-030338 Police Assist to BBFD 2400 S. Congress Ave 2111 hours
Officers responded to Sonata Assisted Living Facility in reference to a fire. Officers came across a two story building filled with thick smoke. There were multiple patrons and staff members in the building. Officers conducted an evacuation of the building. All patrons and employees were removed from the building without incident. Officers then remained at the location for traffic control while BBFD personnel investigated the source of the fire/smoke.
18-30266 1136 hrs Overdose (Non-Fatal) 480 W. Boynton Beach Blvd.
Male overdosed on heroin in a bathroom and a friend located him after hearing him fall to the floor. Male recovered and transported to hospital.
18-030051 Auto Burglary 1121 SE 4th Street 0622 hours
The victim advised that sometime during the night an unknown suspect(s) burglarized the secured toolbox located in the bed of his gray 2006 Toyota Tacoma (FL#N535QF). The victim advised several power tools totaling approx. $790 in value were stolen.
18-030100 Suspicious Item 100 N. Congress Ave. 1303 hours
Officers responded in reference to a suspicious item that was left unattended on the bus stop bench. The item was a silver and black pressure cooker with the lid in the locked position. Due to terrorist events involving pressure cookers, BBFR and the PBSO Bomb Disposal Unit were called out. We secured a 500 foot perimeter and redirected all traffic in the area until the Bomb Unit advised the scene was safe.
