17-064539 Overdose-Fatal 1025hours 1900 N. Federal Hwy. (Inlet Inn Motel)
Officers responded to the Inlet Inn Motel in reference to an unresponsive 32 yoa w/m. Upon arrival BBFD deemed the patient expired after life saving measures failed to resuscitate him. Further investigation revealed the decedent most likely expired due to an overdose. DB/CS responded.
17-064415 1705 hours Stolen Vessel 2010 North Federal Highway
Suspects detached a double jetski trailer (FL# ENCF57) from the victim’s vehicle by cutting the lock from the hitch. The trailer was a Triton 14ft double jetski trailer which contained a blue Yamaha F25 (FL# 8768PZ – HIN# YAMA1590D515) . This occurred between 1615 – 1659 hours.
17-064426 1826 hours Burglary Auto 635 Shore Drive
Victim observed a person running through her yard and exited her residence to investigate. Upon doing so the victim discovered a newer model Nissan Altima (NOI) parked in front of her residence and what the victim believed to be a white female running from her vehicle and getting into the Altima which was last seen heading westbound towards Federal Highway. It’s believed that the victim interrupted the burglary as no items were stolen.
17-064430 1846 hours Burglary Auto 728 Northeast 8th Avenue
Victim reported parking her vehicle in the driveway at 1840 hours and leaving it unsecured while carrying her daughter into the residence. Victim returned to the vehicle five minutes later and discovered that suspects entered and stole the vehicle’s lease contract from the vehicle’s glove box.
17-064428 1939 hours Burglary Auto 802 Ocean Inlet Drive
Victim reported parking her vehicle in the driveway at 1730 hours where it was left unsecure. Victim returned at 1930 hours and discovered that suspects ransacked the vehicle only stealing the center console plastic tray. The suspects are believed to the same suspects from 17-064430.
Officers responded to one (1) non-fatal overdose.
17-064322 0724 Burglary (Trailer) 3100 S Congress Avenue #9
Victim reported that between 1700 hours on 11-6-17 and 0700 hours this morning unknown person(s) entered his white 2008 Diac Trailer bearing Florida tag 656QLQ by cutting the hasp. Victim came to work at the Drapery Lane and found the doors to the trailer wide open. Victim reported that the trailer was rummaged through but nothing appears missing.
17-064337 0845 hours Burglary (Attempt) 3339 S Federal Highway #H
Witness reported that while walking her dog in the Seaborne Cove neighborhood, she heard the sound of glass breaking. She walked around the corner and observed her neighbor’s window had been shattered. Entry was not made as the window (high impact) was still intact. Responding officers also discovered that the screen to another window had been removed. A canvas of the area was negative.
17-064385 1426 hours Robbery (Armed) 501 SE 18th Avenue
The Loss Prevention Officer for Publix observed a black female conceal 3-4 boxes of over-the-counter allergy medicine ($45.00) in her purse. The female then passed all points of sale and exited the store. The LPO attempted to detain her and recover the medication. As he was doing so a struggle ensued and the female sprayed the LPO with pepper-spray and fled on foot. The female was located; detained; and a show-up conducted with positive results. Search incident to arrest, officers found the pepper-spray canister in her purse. The medication was not recovered.
