16-025989 1736hrs Robbery with Cutting Instrument 1015 W. Gateway Blvd
Contact was made with the victim who stated that when he was leaving work, a W/M that he described “looked like a Chihuahua” started small talk then produced a kitchen type knife and demanded the Publix bag that the victim was carrying the money in. Victim said he pulled it away from the suspect, but the suspect reached over and grabbed it. The victim stated the suspect never touched him with the knife and got into a silver Lincoln 4door which was parked in the lot facing south toward W. Gateway Blvd. He advised the suspect was the sole occupant of the vehicle and was able to obtain the tag.
16-026002 1854hrs Accident DUI 100 SE 5th Ave
Units responded to the area and as they were enroute it was advised that one of the individuals involved was leaving the scene. Units were able to stop the suspect trying to leave the scene and Officer Castro arrived and made contact with the suspect Flores, Cristino (04/22/78) and conducted a DUI investigation. Upon completing his investigation Flores was placed under arrest for DUI and TOT PBCJ.
16-025835 1727hrs Overdose (Non-Fatal) 701 W. Boynton Beach Blvd
Officers entered the business bathroom, where they observed W/M lying on the floor of the bathroom stall in the fetal position. He stated that he injected himself with heroin just a few minutes ago. BBFR treated and transported him to the hospital for further medical treatment.
16-025872 2041hrs Burglary Auto 3602 Quantum Lakes DR
Contact was made with Captain Bonafair and a witness to the burglary, victim, who advised she had seen two “well dressed black males” walking in front of her patio and proceed across the parking lot to a black vehicle parked in front of 3628 Quantum Lakes Drive. She said one B/M stood on the sidewalk watching while the other appeared to be running his hands around the vehicle. She said the trunk of the vehicle was opened and one male removed a black satchel bag from within. She said at that time, they both ran north towards Gateway Blvd. Contact was then made with the victim who advised the black vehicle, a 2012 Honda Civic, 4door (FL tag J478DV) had in fact been broken into. At approximately 2135hrs, Captain Bonafair advised that the victim had spotted two individuals by the Mobil at 850 W. Gateway Blvd who fit the description given by the witness. Units responded and one of the individuals, B/M/J , took off running northbound behind the car wash area and was stopped by Captain Bonafair. The other individual B/M/J was taken into custody. After investigation it was determined that the juveniles did commit the burglary to the Honda and were placed under arrest.
16-025873 2042hrs Possession Cocaine/Fleeing/R/A without Violence 2821 S. Federal Hwy (Homing Inn)
Officer A. Vargas and Officer Worrell were conducting an extra patrol at the Homing Inn when they observed a red Nissan commit a traffic violation. Officer Vargas then attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle however; the vehicle failed to stop and turned into Los Mangos traveling a low rate of speed. As the vehicle was traveling in Los Mangos Officer Vargas saw the driver’s door open and observed the driver B/M Williams, Anthony exit the vehicle and began to flee on foot. Officer Vargas and Officer Worrell gave chase and after a brief foot pursuit and minor struggle Williams was taken into custody. During the brief struggle to get Williams into custody Officer Vargas observed Williams drop something from his hand which was recovered and turned out to be crack cocaine. It was also determined that Williams entered an occupied residence while fleeing on foot and also was in possession of marijuana. Williams was placed under arrest and TOT PBCJ. SIR to Follow.
16-025907 0043hrs Failed to Stop 400 W. Boynton Beach Blvd
Officer Ramos and Officer Herny observed a silver Buick bearing Florida tag Y92IZE driving westbound at a high rate of speed. It should be noted that this vehicle fled from officers on 05/04/2016, reference BBPD # 16-025204. Officer Ramos attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle however the vehicle entered I-95 northbound and began to flee from officers. Due to only having a traffic violation committed by the vehicle all efforts to try and stop the vehicle were terminated.
16-025740 0427 hours Possession of Burglary Tools 109 E. Boynton Beach Blvd. (G&C Pawn)
Officer Villari spotted B/M Cederic Dames (02-16-75) cutting a lock in an attempt to steal bikes that were locked in front of the business. In addition Dames was in possession of drug paraphernalia. Dames was arrested for possession of burglary tools and paraphernalia. TOT PBCJ.
16-025795 1311 hours Burglary Residence Asbury Way
Victim reported unknown suspects entered his patio by cutting the screen and removed a black mountain bike. No information was available in reference to the make and model.
16-025690 20:30hrs Possession of Heroin 3625 S. Federal Hwy
Contact was made with W/M Neko Rynn-Mason, who was attempting to use narcotics in the business restroom. Based off investigation Neko was placed under arrest for possession of heroin. Neko was TOT PBCJ.
16-025692 20:40hrs Overdose (Non-Fatal) 2815 S. Seacrest Blvd
W/M was overdosing in his car when a friend brought him to Bethesda Hospital for medical treatment. He was treated and revived by medical staff.
16-025697 21:15hrs Shot Fired 5 Ripley Way
Officers responded to location due to several callers advising males were shooting in the street. Upon arrival contact was made with witnesses who advised that a red Nissan was occupied by several B/M’s were shooting at what appeared to be a B/M who was on foot. Contact was made with the residence of 5 Ripley who advised that the suspect from the dating violence case earlier came back to location and that this was related to that incident. Upon police arrival all parties suspected to be in the shooting were gone. Several shotgun shell casings were located.
16025538 0018 hours Carrying a Concealed Firearm Copper Point Brewery / 151 Commerce Rd
Officers responded in reference to a female unconscious and unresponsive inside the restroom. Upon arrival, w/f Sheila Szedentis dob 04/11/1966, was found to be highly intoxicated; however, officers and EMS were able to revive her. Officers observed, in plain view, a Ruger .380 handgun, concealed in a leg holster on her lower left leg. Szedentis was not permitted and was arrested, medically cleared, processed, and later lodged at PBCJ.
16022551 0150 hours Fleeing and Eluding 200 W Boynton Beach Blvd
OFC Herny observed a newer model Toyota, 4 door, white in color, unknown tag, driving recklessly in the 200 block of W. Boynton Beach Blvd. Upon initiating a traffic stop, the vehicle accelerated even faster and was last observed north on I-95, passing Gateway Blvd.
16-25370 0949 hours Burglary Structure 437 NE 14th Ave Sometime between 04-29-16 @ 0800hrs and today at 0945hrs, unknown suspect entered the victim’s lock shed located in the back yard and stole his lawn equipment. The (a) lock was still on the door, but it was hard for him to gain entry. Total loss $1,500.
16-25413 146 hours Overdose ( Non-Fatal) East Ocean Ave & Federal Hwy
A male adult was located in his vehicle (parking lot of the old Bank of America) unconscious from a suspected overdose. BBFR responded and treated him with Narcan, which revived him. He confirmed he had used heroin prior to the overdose. BBFR transported male to Bethesda.
