16-003220 Vehicle Burglary – Delayed SW 4th Street
Officers met with victim, who reported that sometime between January 17th at 2200 hours and January 18th at 0800 hours; an unknown person(s) entered his unsecured Red 2005 Ford Explorer bearing FL 217TTY and stole several personal items (i.e. wallet w/ contents) from therein.
16-003226 Vehicle Burglary – Delayed SW 35th Avenue
Officers met with victim, who reported that sometime between January 18th at 1700 hours and January 18th at 1810 hours; an unknown person(s) entered his Gray 2012 Volkswagon sedan bearing FL 536NKW and stole several personal items (i.e. wallet w/ contents) from therein.
16-3101 0316 hours Armed Robbery 500 block NW 12th Ave.
Two victims travelled to the area of 500 block NW 12th Ave. in an effort to meet two unknown males that they met via a dating website. Upon arrival, they were approached by two unknown black males wearing dark clothing and one of them brandished a small handgun, demanding all of their valuables. A wallet and cell phone were taken. The suspects then fled the area on-foot.
16-3114 0644 hours Robbery Sudden Snatching 400 Block NW 12th Ave.
A taxi driver arrived in the area to pick up a customer when he was approached by two black males. One male asked the driver to make change for a $5.00 bill. As the driver pulled out his wallet, the suspect grabbed his wallet and both males then fled on foot.
16-3115 0714 hours Burglary Structure 3401 High Ridge Rd.
Unknown person entered the fenced construction site by cutting off the front east gate lock then subsequently damaged several motorized equipment in the theft of $31,000.00 worth of construction tools. Incident occurred between 1600 hours yesterday and 0650 hours this morning.
16-3123 0829 hours Burglary Auto 2620 NE 1st Ct.
Unknown person broke a side window to victim’s vehicle between 1530 hours yesterday and 0830 hours this morning, taking a sweater that was in the back seat.
16-003090 161 NE 19th Ave Burglary-Auto 2330 hours
Victim found the back window to his 2010 gray Volkswagen smashed and his girlfriend’s purse missing from the vehicle. No other property was taken.
16-002954 0732hrs Burglary (Structure) 340 NW 16th Ct.
Victim stated that he heard a noise in his backyard around 0300hrs, however, did not check until around 0715hrs. He discovered that his secured shed had been burglarized and items stolen from within.
16-002981 1058hrs Burglary (Residence) / Vandalism 1411 NW 1st Ct.
Vacant residence, A/C unit stolen and two windows broken.
16-002991 1213hrs Burglary (Auto) RaceTrac 905 W. Woolbright Rd.|
Victim stated that unknown suspect(s) stole her purse from her vehicle as she was pumping gas. Video surveillance shows a possible Audi 4dr black in color, the suspect gets out of the rear seat and steals the purse.
16-002854 1638 hours GTA (Attempt) 208 SE 12th Avenue (Majestic Auto)
Between Jan 15, 2016 at approximately 1730 hours to Jan 16, 2016 at approximately 1630 hours, unknown person(s) attempted to steal a Suzuki SUV bearing FL tag GFR05. The unknown person(s) popped the steering column. Being met with no success regarding their GTA (Attempt), unknown person(s), stole the vehicle radio ($100).
16-002870 1807 hours Suspicious Incident (Shots Fired) 420 NE 12th Avenue
An anonymous caller advised two unknown black males were walking the roadway with guns in hand. Officers canvassed the area yielding negative results. During this time a concerned citizen advised they heard shots fired near Palmetto Green Park. No crime scene was located within the area and no further calls were received.
16-002901 2107 hours Cat-type Burglary (Residential) 100 SW 2nd Avenue
An unknown person burglarized the above residence by reaching into an open window, stealing a television valued at approximately $100, from a nearby table. The dwelling was occupied during this time. Crime Scene was conducted within the window sill.
16-002749 0148hrs Traffic Crash (Fatality) 100 NW 23th Avenue.
Officers responded to a vehicle crash in the 100 block of SW 23rd Ave. On arrival they discovered a VW had struck a power pole, causing extensive damage to multiple power poles in the area. The driver was deceased on scene. Multiple citations were issued to motorists who decided to disregard the barricades which were set up for safety.
16002764 0631hrs Traffic Crash (THI callout) 300 block SW 8th St.
Officers responded to a serious injury crash where the passenger was ejected from the vehicle as it rolled. As of this writing the passenger and driver were transported to Delray Trauma Center. THI and Crime Scene responded.
16-002765 0713hrs Motor Vehicle Theft 110 Miner Rd.
Victim stated that his white 1998 Toyota Tacoma bearing Fl tag G052QZ was stolen from his driveway sometime between 0001 and 0700 hrs. today.
16-002809 1208hrs Burglary Residence 1040 Murano Bay Dr.
Victim stated that sometime between 01/13/2016 and 1000 hrs. today unknown suspect(s) entered the fenced backyard and stole a gray Monarch bicycle.
16-002647 1803hours Residential Burglary (W/Force/ Day)NE 6th Avenue
Unknown person(s) burglarized the above location between 1130 hours to 1745 hours, on this date. Stolen from the residence was a Sony television and a laptop computer (estimated value $300). Pry marks were discovered on the rear bedroom door, which led outside.
16-002670 1952hours Residential Burglary (W/ Force/ Daytime) SW 1st Street
Unknown person(s) burglarized the above location between 0730 hours to 1730 hours, on this date. Stolen from the residence was a television and a laptop computer (estimated value $1500). It appears the front door was pried open.
16-002560 0558hrs Burglary Auto (Delayed) NW 28th Avenue
Victim stated that sometime between 2100hrs on 01-14-16 and 0500hrs this morning unknown suspect(s) burglarized his white 1996 Chevy van (FL #190PZC) and his white 2003 Dodge Caravan (FL #Y69CTU). A Colbalt impact driver and (2) toolboxes were stolen along with an assortment of hand tools ($500 loss).
16-002588 1108hrs Burglary Residence(Cat Type) SE 3rd Street
Victim stated while lying in his bed watching television he heard a noise coming from the kitchen area. As the victim walked to the kitchen to investigate, he saw an unknown heavy set H/M approximately 25yoa wearing a baseball cap opening the kitchen cabinets. He confronted the suspect and the suspect advised he was looking for Justin. The victim advised that no one by that name resides at the residence, and the suspect left the residence without further incident. The victim advised nothing was taken, and due to no signs of forced entry it is unclear on how the suspect made entry into the residence.
16-002387 0757 hours Fleeing & Eluding Arrest Lawrence/Old Boynton Rd.
Officer Albala attempted to stop a Toyota Celica (FL #I050FA) operated by W/M, David J. Armstrong, 12/28/64, for a traffic violation, by activating his emergency lights. Armstrong refused to stop and continued driving from Old Boynton Rd., north on Lawrence Rd., and west onto 88th Ct. South, where he stopped the vehicle at his residence. The vehicle was driven at the speed limit, but had ample opportunity to stop in several safe areas along the route. Upon being detained, Armstrong uttered he had a suspended license and the tag on the vehicle was not assigned. Armstrong was cited with several traffic violations and arrested for Fleeing & Eluding. TOT PBCJ. There were no injuries or property damage.
16-002393 0824 hours Burglary Residence 3235 Grove Rd.
Victim received a call from a neighbor that several B/M’s broke his window and are inside his house. Officers responded and secured a perimeter, quickly finding several subjects were still inside. Two subjects complied with officers and were taken into custody. One subject fled on-foot, but was apprehended. Investigation resulted in the arrest of 3 adult males for burglary and theft. TOT PBCJ. 16-002442 1241 hours Bank Robbery 4740 N. Congress Ave. (Chase)
Officers responded to a bank robbery of a subject who approached a teller and implied he had a gun and took money. Suspect described as W/M, 6-00 in height, short dirty blonde hair, bad teeth, slim build, wearing a black and tan windbreaker jacket, and a baseball style hat. He was last seen walking eastbound from the location along Hypoluxo Rd. Suspect not located. Detective Bureau responded. Investigation is active and on-going.
