18-022722 Unattended Death E. Chesterfield Dr 1504 hours
Officers were summoned to the resident following the report of a missing and endangered adult. Officers determined the adult female was in imminent danger and requested the assistance of PBSO helicopter in addition to a K-9 bloodhound. The missing female was later found deceased by Ofc. Travis. Crime Scene, D-Bureau, and PBC Medical Examiner’s Office responded to investigate the circumstances leading to the female’s death.
18-022741 Child Abuse – Arrest 1731 hours
Officers responded in reference to a disturbance. Officers met with the residents and initiated an investigation into a child abuse allegation. Officers discovered that the father of a 17 year old child administered excessive corporal punishment. The father was arrested for Child Abuse, was processed at BBPD, and later turned over to the Palm beach County Jail.
18-022756 Burglary To Auto 1300 SW 35th Ave 1952 hours
Officers responded to Caloossa Park and met with a female who reported a burglary to her black Chevrolet SUV. The vehicle’s rear passenger side window was broken and a handbag valued at $1.00 was taken from the vehicle.
18-022795 DUI Arrest 3200 S. Seacrest Blvd 2258 hours
Officer Dennis Castro was on patrol at the above location when he observed a vehicle displaying an erratic driving pattern. At one point, the vehicle started driving northbound in the southbound lane. Ofc. Castro conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and made contact with the driver. Following contact with the driver, Ofc. Castro conducted a DUI investigation which resulted in the arrest of the driver w/m Ryan W. Mooney 05/06/72. Mooney was turned over to the Palm Beach County Jail.
18-022815 Throw Deadly Missile 2100 NE 1st Ln 0012 hours
Officers responded to the above address in reference to a suspicious incident. The resident/victim told officers that she woke to a crashing loud noise in her living room. Upon inspecting her residence, she noticed the front windows broken with a brick in the middle of her living room. Officers canvassed the neighborhood for witnesses and video cameras which produced negative results for both. No residents were injured.
18-22646 Recovered Stolen Auto 1800 N Congress Ave. 0447 hours
A black Mercedes C230 was observed stopped in the right hand travel lane of Congress Ave. with its hazard lights on. When a unit pulled behind it and activated their lights vehicle took off southbound. All efforts to stop the vehicle were ended but the vehicle was observed crashing at SW Congress Blvd./S. Congress Ave. The driver ran from vehicle into Clipper Cove and was able to get away. Vehicle was an unreported stolen from 2640 Crabapple Circle.
18-22660 Simple Battery Panera 548 E. Woolbright Rd. 0753 hours
Victim was approached by a B/M asking for money. When the victim told him no the male punched him in the face. Suspect was B/M gray shirt.
18-22666 Stolen Auto 815 W. Boynton Beach Blvd. 0815 hours
Victim’s 2015 GMC Sierra pick up was stolen sometime between 1930 on 04-25 and 0745 on 04/26. Vehicle was recovered by PBSO prior to entry in Sand and Sea Mobile Home Park.
