16-43936 1945hrs Child Neglect SW 12th Ave/SW 1st St
Anonymous caller advised that they observed what appeared to be an approximate 11yo b/f and an approximate 2yo b/m on a black in color 4-wheeler, driving on the roadway for approximately the last hour. Units responded to the area, and located the 4-wheeler traveling eastbound on SW 11th Ave approaching the intersection of SW 2nd St. A juvenile female who was 11 yoa was operating the gas operated 4-wheeler, with a juvenile male who was 3 yoa sitting on top of the gas tank neither juvenile had eye protection nor helmets. The juvenile female advised that her father ( later identified as B/M Sutton Jr., Jimmie 08/22/85 – parent) knew that she and 3 year old boy were on the 4-wheeler and knew that they were riding around the neighborhood. Sutton arrived on scene and when asked why the juveniles were operating a 4-wheeler in the middle of the roadway with no safety equipment, he advised that they were only supposed to stay in front of the residence. Sutton advised that they have been riding the 4-wheeler most of the day. The 4-wheeler is dark in color, with no type of illumination on. The distance from where Sutton, was located at (127 SW 11th Ave) to where the juveniles were located at was approximately a quarter mile away; with no parental figure in sight/unsupervised. Based off this investigation, Sutton was placed under arrest for child neglect and TOT PBCJ.
16-43945 2159hrs Robbery with Firearm 2600 Quantum Blvd
Contact with the victim who advised that he was walking down Quantum BLVD when he saw a vehicle(possible Black Dodge Charger or Challenger), pull next to him onto the sidewalk. The driver and the passenger doors both flew open and two black males, possible juveniles, came out of the car. He stated that the passenger of the vehicle, put a large silver handgun to his head and demanded that he empty his pockets. He complied with their demands and gave them his iPhone 5s, which had a black wallet type of cover. The two black males then retreated into their vehicle and drove off at a high rate of speed on Quantum Blvd., westbound towards Congress Ave. Officers canvased the surrounding area looking for the vehicle however the search for the vehicle yielded negative results.
16-043782 0442 hours Stolen Vehicle x 2 2790 NE 5th Ct.
Units responded to the above address in reference to the delayed theft of two vehicles. Upon arrival victim advised his 2015 Grey Chevrolet Malibu bearing FL tag 609QKP and his 2015 Black Honda Motorcycle bearing FL. Tag 3949RN had been stolen by unknown suspect(s) sometime overnight. All keys were accounted for and there were no signs of any crime scene. Both vehicles were subsequently entered into F/NCIC.
Units assisted with traffic related issues due to on-going construction at the intersection of Woolbright Rd. and Congress Ave.
