Officers arrived and found w/m dob 04/20/1990 and w/f 01/31/1995 deceased from an apparent overdose.
17048342 2311 hours Robbery (Strong Arm) 2300 block of N Congress Ave
Victim advised he was walking on the sidewalk when he was approached by an unknown Hispanic male and two unknown black males, possibly all juveniles. The Hispanic male asked for his property and upon refusing, the three assailants began to batter the victim and dig into his pockets. The three suspects were last seen running west along the canal bank. Victim sustained injuries to the face and upper torso.
17-048224 1313hours Burglary Auto 566 E. Gateway Blvd.
Officers responded to 533 E. Gateway Blvd, in reference to a burglary in- progress. Upon arrival Officers met with the victim, elderly male. He stated that after exiting his vehicle and entering the store, an unknown b/m entered the front passenger unlocked door of his 2012 silver Buick Verano. He stated that as he walked from the store to his vehicle, the b/m ran from the vehicle w/b on Gateway. The b/m is described as having shoulder length dreads, wearing a white t-shirt and black jeans. Victim checked his vehicle and stated that nothing was missing from the vehicle.

Officers arrived and found w/m dob 04/20/1986 and w/f dob 12/14/1987 both suffering from apparent overdoses. Life saving measures were administered and both regained consciousness and were transported to Bethesda for further treatment.
17048097 1810 hours Overdose (Non-Fatal) Wal-Mart / 3625 S Federal Hwy
Officers arrived and found w/m dob 09/23/1989 suffering from apparent overdoses. Life saving measures were administered and he regained consciousness and was transported to Bethesda for further treatment.
17048147 2157 hours THI / ATV vs Vehicle 400 block of SW 3rd St.
Officers arrived and found that w/m Christopher Ziebarth dob 11/14/1986 had been operating an ATV upon the roadway when he failed to yield to a stop sign and struck a motor vehicle that was traveling south on SW 3rd St. He was ejected and suffered massive injuries. He was transported to Delray Trauma where he is listed in critical condition. The driver of the motor vehicle was not injured.

Officers responded to multiple calls of shots being fired from a vehicle. Upon arrival, the organized Off to College event was dispersing. No victims, witnesses, or evidence were located.
17-048049 1413hours OVER DOSE /NOT FATAL 2605 W. Woolbright Road
Officers responded to 2600 W. Woolbright Road 7-11 in reference to an overdose. Officer found white female passed out in the driver seat of a black Mitsubishi Outlander, FL tag Y74-RHR and white male lying on the ground, outside, near the front passenger door passed out. He regained consciousness own his on and she was administered EVZIO auto-injector (Narcan). BBPD Fire Rescue responded and transported them to Bethesda Hospital for further treatment. Both is expected to make a full recovery.
17-048052 1529hours CHILD NEGLECT 4744 N Congress Ave
Officer Lauture stated while conducting an extra patrol in the area of 4744 N Congress Ave. (Citi Trends) he was approached by a shopper who told him that a child and infant was observed sitting in a parked black Mercedes SUV (bearing Fla. Tag# DQDP04) unattended with the windows up and vehicle off. Officer approached the vehicle and in fact observed the children sitting in the rear seat of the vehicle with the windows up without any adult supervision in the vehicle or in the area. BBFD responded and conducted a medical check on the children. After a search of the nearby stores, Officer made contact with the mother/driver of the vehicle B/F (Jyesa Gibbs) coming out of Citi Trends dept. store. Gibbs was arrested for child neglect and TOT TO PBC Jail.
17047899 1926 hours Fleeing and Eluding 500 W Gateway Blvd
Officers initiated a traffic stop on a 2005, Chevy Tahoe, FL tag#HNGP30 which fled east on Gateway Blvd. Officers discontinued their efforts; however, a short time later the vehicle was found abandoned and crashed into a tree. No suspects and no reported injuries.
17047931 2216 hours Overdose (non-fatal) Seabourn Cove / 3501 S Federal Hwy
w/m dob 10/29/1995 was found unresponsive lying beside the pool. Officers and EMS administered life saving measures and he was revived. He was transported to Bethesda for further treatment.
Selective traffic enforcement resulted in 40 contacts.
17-047748 0604hours Burglary Auto 14208 Mahogany Dr.
Officers responded to 14208 Mahogany Dr, in reference to a delayed auto burglary. Victim stated that after retiring for the night on 08/17/17 at approximately 2300hrs, he exited his home to find his 2013 Nissan Altima bearing FL tag#816RUH window smashed. Several items were taken from the vehicle including currency.

Officers responded to 2860 SW 14 St. in reference to an auto burglary complaint. Victim who advised that sometime between 8/17 2100 – 8/18 0630, an unknown suspect(s) shattered the rear driver side window of his 2014 Honda Accord, FL tag DEIL31. The suspect removed a beach bag and serval miscellaneous items.
17-047749 0700hours Agg. Battery Cutting 320 NE 11th Ave unit 2
Officer responded to 320 NE 11th Ave in reference to a disturbance. Officers learned that the victim was stabbed to the right outer calf (1/2 laceration) by his girlfriend b/f Mohorn, Yolanda. Mohorn was GOA upon officers’ arrival and refuse to speak with officers via phone or provide a statement. Charges to be filed with SAO.
17-047772 0851hours Overdose/Non-Fatal 2821 S Federal HWY #C206 /Homing Inn
Officers responded to the above address in reference to a drug overdose. W/f, DOB 06/11/1980 overdosed on heroin. Shirey was unconscious with agonal breathing upon officers arrival. Officers administered EVZIO (naloxone HCI injection) Auto-Injector, which was effective. She was transported to Bethesda Hospital by BBFD and is expected to make a full recovery.
