Officers conducted extra patrol at 100 blk NE 10th Ave and made contact with Daniel Thompson was found to have an active PBSO warrant along with being in possession of heroin capsule. TOT PBCJ.
17-009596 2304 hours Robbery w/ Firearm (delayed) 916 NW 4th Street
Victim arrived at the BBPD lobby stating an unknown black male arrived at the residence looking for property that was left in a roommate’s room. The unknown subject was allowed to look inside the residence in which time the subject brandished a handgun and took two cellular phones.

Officers responded to 1200 NW 1st Street reference a suspicious vehicle and found Daniel Young in Poss. Of Heroin and Schedule IV Controlled Substance (Lorazepam). TOT PBCJ.
17-9423 Burglary Vehicle 93 Meadows Park Lane 0800hrs
Victim reported that unknown subject(s) stole a Stihl Magnum backpack leaf blower valued at approximately $600 from the bed of his white 1994 Chevrolet Silverado with FL tag VCH113, and a Shindaiwa LE242 edger valued at approximately $400 from the side of his trailer with FL tag VCG272.
17-9458 Carjacking 1919 North Seacrest Blvd 1031hrs
Victim reported that a black female whom he knows as “Mooka” took his brown 2010 Hyundai Sonata (bearing FL tag Y27HDA). An area check for the missing car was negative. The vehicle was entered into F/NCIC as stole.

17-009392 2225 hours 217 N. Federal Hwy. Resisting Officers w/out Violence
Anonymous reports of on-going drug sales in the parking lot near the dumpster. As officers made contact with a black male smoking crack in the parking lot, the unknown male mounted his mountain style bicycle and began to ride away ignoring the Officers orders. As Officer Strong pursed the male, he fell from the bike at which time Officer Strong deployed her Taser. The male was struck with only one probe of the Taser and had no effect on him. A foot pursuit ensued, the male eluded capture last seen northbound on NE 3rd Street.
17-009385 2243 hours 501 S. Seacrest Blvd. Suspicious Incident/Shots Fired
17-9312 Armed Robbery/ CCF Arrest 1213 NW 4th St 1348hrs
Officers responded to an armed robbery at the parking lot Cherry Hill Market. Officers made contact with a subject matching the physical and clothing descriptions of one of the suspects involved. Officers located a handgun concealed in the subject’s waistband. The subject did not possess a Concealed Firearms Permit. A show-up of the subject was conducted with the victim and the subject was identified as one of the parties involved but not the one who committed the actual armed robbery. The subject b/m Eric Scruggs 02/05/97 was arrested by Officer Lauture for Carrying a Concealed Firearm. Scruggs was also discovered to be in possession of 0.9 grams of Heroin and 2.0 grams of Cocaine. Scruggs was charged accordingly, processed at BBPD, and TOT Palm Beach County Jail.
17-9322 Shots Fired 1214 NW 4th St 1521hrs
Officers responded to the area in reference to the report of shots fired. Officers canvassed the area and spoke to bystanders who advised that they heard the shots but nothing was seen. Officers were not able to locate any shells casings and/or tangible evidence of a shooting in the area. Officers checked local hospitals and advised staff to contact BBPD if any subjects come into their ER’s with gunshot wounds.
17-9155 1643 hours Overdose (Non-Fatal) 603 NW 1st Ave
An unconscious female was located at the above location. She was revived and transported to Bethesda Hospital for further treatment.
17-9207 2014 hours Overdose (Fatal) Via Casas De Norte
An unconscious male was located at the above address. He was transported to JFK Hospital where he was subsequently pronounced deceased. Detective Bureau and Crime Scene responded to conduct further investigation.
17-9216 2059 hours Overdose (Non-Fatal) 2607 S. Federal Hwy
Officers responded to the Atlantic Lodge in reference to an overdose. A semi-conscious female was transported to Bethesda Hospital in stable condition.
17-9217 2108 hours Failed to Stop Boynton Beach Blvd/Seacrest
Officers attempted a traffic stop on a silver GMC truck (FL#DPF-T70) for a suspected drug transaction. The vehicle fled the traffic stop and was last seen traveling northbound on I-95.
17-9233 2242 hours Failed to Stop Boynton Beach Blvd/Federal Hwy
Officers attempted a traffic stop on a blue Chevy Monte Carlo (FL#EAJ-U51) for a traffic violation. The vehicle fled the traffic stop and was last seen traveling northbound on I-95.
17-9248 2340 hours Shooting X 2/Homicide 1635 NE 4th Court
Officers responded to a shooting in the area of NE 16th Ave/NE 4th Court. Upon arrival, officers located a chaotic scene and a deceased male in the driveway of the residence. Another male was located on scene with a gunshot wound to his right forearm. The surviving victim was transported to Bethesda Hospital for treatment. Detective Bureau and Crime Scene responded PIO notified.
17-9042 Overdose (Non-Fatal) 905 W. Woolbright Rd 0801hrs
Officers responded to the parking lot of Racetrac where two males were reported to be in medical distress. Officers made contact with the two subjects who were unconscious and barely breathing. Officers discovered that both subjects were overdosing from the recent use of heroin based on evidence at the scene. BBFD responded and provided medical attention. Both subjects were regained consciousness and were transported to Bethesda Hospital.
17-9097 Overdose (Non-Fatal) 701 W. Boynton Beach Blvd 1311hrs
Officers responded to the parking lot of Wendy’s in reference to an overdose. Officers found male unresponsive and not breathing. Officers administered first-aid until the arrival of BBFD paramedics. Subsequent to additional medical attention provided by paramedics, the male regained consciousness. The male was then transported to Bethesda Hospital.
17-8903 Burglary Delayed Ocean Pkwy 1417hrs
Officers responded to a delayed burglary where forced entry was made to a rear window. An approximate total of $10,000 in Jewelry, Electronics, and other property were reported stolen. Crime Scene responded and processed the scene.
