Victim reported between 2/22/19 and today’s date, two bicycles were stolen from the bike rack in the parking garage by cutting the lock that was securing them.
19-010654 2256 hours THI Crash 1500 N Federal Hwy
A male was crossing Federal Hwy when he was struck by a pickup truck traveling southbound. The pedestrian sustained a head injury and was transported to DMC as a trauma alert where he was admitted. THI and Crime Scene Responded.
19-010657 2308 hours Suspicious Incident/Shots Fired 3149 Grove Rd
Caller reported hearing multiple gunshots in the area. A check of the area yielded negative results for any evidence of a shooting. Local hospitals were checked.
19-010677 0145 hours DUI 4700 N Congress Ave
Officers observed W/M Kyle Kostka driving reckless southbound on Congress Ave. A traffic stop was conducted at which time an investigation revealed Kostka was under the influence. TOT PBCJ.
West side officers conducted traffic enforcement in Leisureville which resulted in 8 traffic stops with 7 citations.
19-10569 500 Ocean (101 S Federal Hwy) Injury/OSHA Case 1504hrs
Two adult males were inside the north building elevator when it freefell from the 5th to 3rd floor, slamming the two to the ground. BBFR transferred one to Bethesda with minor injuries, and another to Delray Medical Center as a Trauma Alert (not expected to be life threatening). OSHA was notified and will be investigating.
19-010416 2002 DUI (Crash) 2700 Quantum Lakes Dr
W/M Kevin Merida Gomez struck a vehicle and then decided to flee the scene. Merida Gomez was located in the 1500 block of W Gateway at which time a traffic stop was conducted. Additional investigation revealed Merida Gomez to be under the influence. Merida Gomez was charged with leaving the scene of a crash and DUI property damage. TOT PBCJ.

Between 1800 hours and 2100 hours on today’s date, unknown person’s broke the window to the victim’s pickup truck. Once inside, a backpack containing a loaded Glock 43 with extra magazine and a load Glock 19 with extra magazine was stolen.

A traffic stop was conducted on black Volkswagen being operated by W/F Bridget Tierney for several traffic infractions. During the stop, investigation revealed Tierney to be under the influence. Tierney TOT PBCJ.

Unidentified male set off victim’s car alarm and fled the area.

Suspect entered a fenced yard and removed approximately $4,000 of race car parts from a van parked in the backyard.
19-010218 1951 hours Burglary Arrest 1310 N Federal Hwy
While on patrol, CRT units located B/M Willie Inman within the abandoned business. He was subsequent arrested and charged with Burglary to a Structure, along with Possession of Crack Cocaine, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was TOT to PBCJ.

W/M Adam Green was arrested for DUI following a traffic stop on the vehicle he was operating. Green refused to provide a breath sample. Green was TOT PBCJ.
19-010269 0057 hours Agg Assault w/ Firearm 2821 S Federal Hwy (Homing Inn)
Officers responded to above location in reference to a suspicious incident. Upon investigation it was determined that B/M Sharrod Nixon DOB 11/30/79 pointed a firearm at his roommate during a dispute. He was subsequently arrested in addition to Possession of Marijuana and later TOT PBCJ.
19-010280 0314 hours Child Abuse Arrest 4798 N Congress Ave (Mobil)
Officers responded to above location in reference to a disturbance. It was determined that during an argument, a male half through a brick at the windshield of his girlfriend’s vehicle, while she and two children were within. He was subsequently arrested for Child Abuse W/O Great Harm and Criminal Mischief. He was Tot PBCJ.
19-010281 0339 hours Loitering/Prowling Arrest X2 1702 Boynton Beach Ct
Units responded to the above location in reference to a burglary in progress. Upon arrival contact was made with 2 B/M juveniles who were identified by the caller trying door handles throughout the community. Both subjects were subsequently arrested for Loitering/Prowling and later released to a parent. The community was checked for possible vehicle burglaries with negative results at this time.
19-009976 Burglary to Auto 435 W. Boynton Beach Blvd 1556 hours
Officers responded to the parking lot of Captain Frank’s Seafood in reference to an auto burglary. The officers met with the caller who reported a burglary to his Sysco Delivery Semi Truck. The caller said he was unloading a delivery into the business when an unknown person entered the vehicle’s unlocked cabin. The suspect stole approximately $700 in portable electronics. The caller suspected 2 Hispanic males who were loitering in the area at the time of the incident. Officers processed the vehicle for latent prints.
19-010000 Agg. Child Abuse 1759 hours
Officers responded to the above address to investigate a domestic disturbance. The officers discovered that an older brother battered a younger sibling with an extension cord. The officers developed probable cause for the arrest of the older brother who was not home at the time. After the officers left the residence, the older brother returned to the residence and confronted the younger sibling for reporting the incident to police. The older brother (suspect) decided to batter the victim a second time with the same extension cord (19-010027). Officers responded the residence a second time and began to search the neighborhood for the older brother who had since left the residence. Officers made contact with the suspect in a nearby park. The suspect fled from officers on foot. A perimeter was established and K-9 officers tracked the suspect back to his residence. The suspect was found to be hiding on top of the roof of his residence by the PBSO helicopter. During apprehension, the suspect attempted to flee from a group of officers. The suspect was apprehended by Ofc. Roedel’s K-9 partner Bane.
19-010046 Armed Carjacking 1901 N. Seacrest Blvd 2153 hours
Officers responded to a carjacking at the Ezell Hester Park. The victim told officers he parked his gold Jaguar on the grass at NW 17th Ave in order to go play Tennis at the park. The victim said he exited his vehicle and opened his trunk to retrieve some equipment. An unknown male walked up behind the victim and pointed a gun to the back of the victim’s head. The unknown suspect order to the victim to the ground. While on the ground, the suspect stole the contents of the victim’s pocket to include the keys to the 2011 gold Jaguar. The victim said he kept his head down as the suspect walked away. The victim said he only lifted his head after he heard the sound on his vehicle driving away. The victim walked home and called police. There were no suspect descriptions available.
19-010073 Burglary Auto Arrest 1022 NW 7th Ct 0242 hours
Officers were dispatched to the above address following the report of burglary. The caller informed BBPD dispatchers that she witnessed a male going through her vehicle. Responding officers observed a male leaving the area that matched the description of the suspected burglar. The officers made contact with the male and ordered the male to the ground. The male ignored the officers orders. The male was then tackled to the ground by the officers. One officer sustained an abrasion to his head during the struggle with the suspect. The officer received medical attention at Bethesda Hospital.

19-10136 Felony Retail Theft 1901 N Congress Ave 1137 hours
B/M Young, Mosie 12/28/68 was arrested for stealing over $300.00 of merchandise from Kohl’s and fleeing in a black Dodge Caliber. Young was spotted by Ofc. Hall driving in the 1000 block of Old Boynton Rd. and taken into custody at that location. TOT PBCJ.
