18-017797 AOD to PBC School PD Congress MS – 101 S. Congress Ave 1840 hrs
Officers responded to Congress Middle School to assist Palm Beach County School PD officers who were attempting to disperse a large group of juveniles from the school property. It was learned that the juveniles were leaving the school after attending a basketball game on campus. BBPD officers encountered 50 to 100 juveniles causing a disturbance in the parking lot of Publix Plaza (131 N. Congress Ave). Officers cleared the parking lot and arrested other juveniles who were involved in a fight (18-011829).
18-011831 Agg. Assault Cut. Inst. Exxon – 290 N. Congress Ave 1929 hrs
Officers responded to the above address and met with the victim who alleged to have been attacked by a knife wielding Latin male. The victim said he attempted to diffuse a verbal argument between the unknown male and an unknown female. The unknown male redirected his anger towards the victim and chased after the victim while holding a butcher knife. The suspect and unknown female left the area in opposite directions prior to police arrival. The suspect was described as a H/M 5’6 with black short hair, wearing a gray shirt and black pants. Officers searched the area for the suspect without success.
18-011853 Carry Concealed Firearm 500 W. Boynton Beach Blvd 2102 hrs
Ofc. Cardenas conducted a traffic stop on a Gray Chevrolet Malibu (FL Tag: HDIR71). While speaking to the driver and lone occupant of the vehicle, Ofc. Cardenas developed probable cause to search the vehicle based on the distinctive odor of marijuana coming from within the vehicle, in addition to the driver who was still smoking a suspected marijuana cigarette. The vehicle search resulted in the recovery of a stolen Ruger LCP .380 caliber handgun. The driver was arrested, processed at BBPD, and was later turned over to the PBCJ.
18-11760 1325 hrs Grand Theft (Offer Up incident) 1901 N. Seacrest Blvd.
Victim responded to the Ezell Hester Center to conduct an Offer Up transaction of their cell phone. Upon handing the phone over to the alleged buyer, the subject took off running.
18-011706 0820hrs Burglary (Business) 389 Winchester Park Blvd. (Golden Coral)
Units arrived and met with management, and discovered an unknown suspect(s) smashed a large approx. 3ft diameter hole in the exterior impact window on the northeast side of the building with a sledgehammer. Officers made entry into building and discovered another hole in an interior wall adjacent to the manager’s office where the safes are kept. Entry was made into one of the safes and cash was taken.
18-011708 0830hrs Stolen Vehicle 516 Manatee Bay Drive
Victim stated that his secured red 2013 BMW 328i SC tag #MNL862 was stolen overnight from his assigned parking space. The vehicle was entered into NCIC/FCIC as stolen.
