18-008677 Burglary (Vehicle) 1319 N Federal Hwy 0930hrs
An employee at U-Haul reported that sometime between 02/10/18 at 1900 hours and 02/11/18 at 0845 hours an unknown suspect smashed the driver side window of one of the moving trucks then proceeded to open the hood and removed the battery.
Units responded to 1 non-fatal overdose.
18-008657 Cat Type Burglary Arrest 104 NW 10th Ct. 0346 hours
Officers responded to an in progress Cat Burglary located at the aforementioned address. The victim advised a b/m wearing a hoody style sweatshirt was inside her residence when she woke up. Victim advised the suspect now identified as B/M Sylister Lopez Jones had fled the residence via the backdoor with her purse. Units set up a perimeter and began to canvas the area. Officer Worrell located Jones riding a bicycle at the intersection of Leisureville Blvd and NW 10th Ct; upon sight of officers the suspect immediately took flight. After a lengthy foot pursuit, Jones was apprehended by Officer Grigorian and Officer Adea at 813 SW 1st Ave. A show-up was conducted which yielded a positive ID.
18-008584 Narcotics Poss. /Resisting Arrest 908 NW 1st Street 1826 hours
Officer Roedel initiated a traffic stop resulting in the driver and passenger quickly exiting the vehicle. After several commands to “stop” the driver (Marquelle Bonner) fled and was detained after a short foot pursuit. Officers located crack cocaine within the vehicle. Bonner was charged with Cocaine Poss., R/A without Violence, and Operating a MV w/o DL. Bonner was TOT PBCJ.
18-008611 Auto Burglary 2290 N. Congress Ave (LA Fitness) 2057 hours
Victim advised someone had damaged the driver door lock to his Chevy Tahoe and stole his wallet and phone charger which was left in the middle console.
18-008505 Burglary (Vehicle) 580 Manatee Bay Dr 0907hrs
Officers responded to a delayed vehicle burglary where the victim reported that an unknown suspect entered his unsecured 2015 Chevy Silverado and stole his wallet from the center console sometime between 1915 hrs on 1-09-18 and 0730 hrs on today’s date. The total loss is estimated at $32.
18-008506 Burglary (Vehicle) 1500 Corporate Dr 0957hrs
Officers responded to a vehicle burglary at Lowes Home Improvement where the victim reported that sometime between 0920 and 0957 hours on today’s date an unidentified w/m stole a DeWalt pressure cleaner ($1000) from the back of his 2017 Dodge Ram truck. A witness described the suspect as having untrimmed facial hair and was seen getting into a gold in color older model vehicle. There is possible surveillance video of the incident that wasn’t accessible at the time of the investigation.
18-008521 Suspicious Incident/Baker Act 1500 S FEC 1138hrs
Officers responded to a report of a b/m walking along side of the train tracks while carrying what appeared to be a handgun. Multiple units arrived on scene and placed themselves in tactically advantageous positions where they confirmed seeing what they believed to be a firearm in his hand. He was given verbal commands and was subsequently taken into custody without incident. The handgun that he was carrying was determined to be a BB gun. After speaking to himl, officers determined that he met the criteria for a Baker Act and was subsequently taken into protective custody and transported to JFK.

18-008413 2016 hours Poss. Contraband/R/A 1000 N. Seacrest Blvd.
Officer Grigorian received a LPR hit on a 1999 Mitsubishi Montero bearing FL tag 787NQL in reference to a seize tag order and suspended D/L. Grigorian conducted a traffic stop on the aforementioned vehicle; the driver B/M Marc Joseph subsequently took flight. After a short foot pursuit, he was tased and apprehended. Search incident to arrest yielded a small amount of Marijuana. Joseph was charged, medically cleared and tot PBCJ.
18-008451 2329hours Burglary Residence 305 SW 2nd St.
Units responded to the above address in reference to a delayed Burglary. Victim advised unknown suspect(s) gained entry to his residence via the back window by removing the screen. Once inside they stole various electronics and jewelry valued at $2,750.
18-008452 0015hours Grand Theft Auto Arrest 1300 N. Seacrest Blvd.
Officer Grigorian received a LPR hit in reference to a stolen silver 2012 Kia SUV bearing FL on tag Y07XSR traveling northbound on Seacrest Blvd. Grigorian conducted a traffic stop on the aforementioned vehicle. Further investigation yielded probable cause to arrest B/F Theresa Mckenzie for one count of Grand Theft Auto. She was subsequently charged and tot PBCJ.
18-008458 0103hours Failed to Stop 1200 N. Seacrest Blvd.
Officer Autiello received information in reference to a stolen gray 2017 Nissan Versa bearing FL tag# IEJE06. Autiello attempted a traffic stop on said vehicle; however, the vehicle failed to stop. The stop was terminated due to the reckless driving pattern of the suspect vehicle. It was last seen “blacked out” in the 100 blk of SE 5th Ave.

Officers responded to a report of vandalism to the women’s restroom at Sara Sims Park. A city employee reported that sometime between 0800 on 2/7/18 and todays date, an unknown subject removed and damaged a light fixture and hand dryer which were valued at approximately $500.
