While patrolling the area due to recent reports of burglaries, Officer Melo observed a white male (later identify as Julian DaLeasandro) in the area of 1006 Old Boynton Rd attempting to conceal himself from Officer Melo. DaLeasandro matched the description of a suspect involved in burglary, which occurred earlier in the day (BBPD Case #16-003408). After making contact with DaLeasandro he advised that he was visiting a cousin at 1006 Old Boynton Rd. Officer Melo confirmed with a resident at said address that DaLeasandro was given untruthful statements. Post Miranda, DaLeasando could not dispel the Officers concerns that a crime was being committed thus he was charged with L&P. After a short conversation with DaLeasandro, he told Officer Melo that he had burglarized a vehicle at 1060 Old Boynton Rd, which it was later confirmed with the Victim. The stolen property was returned to the victim. Daleasandro wrote a letter of apology to the victim and he was TOT PBCJ. Charges are pending on other burglaries.
