17-037567 Vehicle Accident – DUI arrest Boynton Bch & Seacrest 2156 hours
Officers responded to a vehicle crash at the intersection involving a Gray Mazda and a Silver Honda. Following the crash investigation, Officer Castro initiated a DUI investigation which resulted in the arrest of the operator of the Honda. The defendant was medically cleared and t.o.t Palm Beach County Jail.
17-037566 Shooting into Occupied Dwelling 3031 Grove Rd 2157 hours
Officers responded to a shooting at the above address. Officers met with the resident who reported hearing shots coming through her residence’s rear window. Officers inspected the residence and located bullet holes in the rear window, in the backyard fence, and on the residence’s roof. No injuries were reported. It was determined that nearby residents were using the cover of fireworks to fire their weapons in the air. The residential addresses of the shooters were not located.
17-037570 Suspicious Incident 500 NW 13th Ave 2217 hours
Officers responded to a large party in the area of Cherry Hill Market. It was reported that firearms were being shot up in the air alongside the fireworks. Officers encountered a large crowd and numerous vehicles blocking the roadway. Officers shut down the outdoor party, cleared the crowd, and ordered all the vehicles to move without incident.
Officers responded to 3 non-fatal overdoses during the shift.
BBPD Dispatch fielded numerous noise complaints in regards to fireworks throughout the City.
Officers assisted FHP with a major crash involving 6 vehicles on I-95 near Woolbright Rd.
17-037403 0738 hours Stolen Vehicle 1016 SW 27th Place
Between 7/4/2017 0000 hrs and 0700 hrs a White Dodge Journey bearing FL tag EEDT91 was stolen. Key was left in a purse within the vehicle. Vehicle entered in N/FCIC.
17-037308 1937 hours Burglary Auto 395 N. Congress Ave (Orange Fitness).
Victim reported that unknown suspects entered her locked vehicle by smashing out the passenger window. Once inside the suspect removed her purse and wallet containing an unknown amount of cash, credit cards and ID.
17-037361 1714 hours Possession of Marijuana over 20 grams. 500 S. Seacrest Blvd.
Officer Corum arrested Vladamir Cabrera during a routine traffic stop after an investigation revealed he was in possession of 30 grams of marijuana.
17-037375 0022 hours Shots Fired – Suspicious Incident 848 NW 13th Ave (Pioneer Canal Park)
Officers responded to a suspicious incident involving a male shooting a rifle into the C-16 Canal. Officers met with a witness who pointed out multiple shell casings on the ground where the shooter was standing. No one was injured. Officers searched the area for the subject and subject’s vehicle with no success. The shell casings were collected and submitted into Evidence for BrassTrax entry.
The platoon responded to 3 non-fatal overdoses during the course of the shift.
17-037199 1028 hours Animal Complaint 574 E Woolbright (Bank of America)
Units responded to the area regarding an unattended dog left in a vehicle. Sgt Dunlop observed the dog in distress and made the decision to break a window to rescue the dog. The dog was removed from the vehicle and did not require medical attention. Animal Control Roehrich responded and handled the complaint.
17-037222 1137 hours Burglary to Structure 2424 N Federal Hwy (Inlet Harbor Club)
On 7/1/2017 approx 1137 hrs two unknown B/M juveniles entered the fence in development and stole an orange Husquavna Blower (value $150) from inside unlocked maintenance shed.
17-037268 1639 hours Overdose Non-Fatal 11 Crossing Cir Apt A
Units responded to location and found unresponsive B/M. Narcan was administered and male was later transported to JFK.
