18-015588 Shooting NE 6th St 2120 hours
Officers responded to the above address reference a report of a female advising she was shot. Officers arrived on scene and located a Hispanic female laying on the ground. Officers utilized their tactical med kits and applied seals to her wound. The victim was then transported to the hospital. The suspects were last seen running eastbound on foot. Delray Beach K-9 and PBSO Eagle assisted with a search. Investigation on-going.
18-015605 Shots fired 612 NE 2nd St 0136 hours
Officers responded to the above location to reports of shots fired. Officers located a victim who alleged that he was shot at by a black male. No reported injuries. During the investigation, the victim refused to further cooperate with officers and signed a refusal to prosecute form. Shotgun rounds were collected from the scene and submitted into evidence.
18-15487 0929 Burglary to Auto (On-going Pattern) 1319 N. Federal Hwy (U-Haul)
Between 03/17 at 1930 and 0915 this morning, unknown person stole the battery from a truck’s engine compartment.
18-15526 1441 Overdose (Non-Fatal) 3625 S. Federal Hwy. (Walmart)
An adult male was located by Officer Donnino on the ground of the parking lot with agonal breathing. Subject was deemed to be overdosing and Narcan was utilized. Subject transported to BMH by BBFD and expected to recover.
18-015385 Robbery Strong Arm Homing Inn-2821 S. Federal Hwy 1859 hrs
Officers responded to the Homing Inn met with a male who claimed to have been the victim of a robbery. The victim told officers he came to the Hotel to purchase illegal narcotics and certain sexual acts. The victim met with the dealer of such illicit adventures who is only known to the victim as “Ty”. The victim said Ty decided to rob him of $700 cash after “Ty” threatened to cause severe bodily harm to the victim. The victim said “Ty” directed a female companion (known to the victim as “Penelope”) to remove the cash from the victim’s wallet. Officers located and made contact with Penelope who denied any involvement in the alleged crime. The officers were not able to locate or identify “Ty”.
18-015409 Burglary Residence Via De Pepi 2103 hrs
Officers responded to the above address in reference to a delayed burglary. The victim told offices that her residence was broken into within the past 24 hours. The victim said a large amount of money was taken from the home. There was no forced entry into the residence. Officers obtained information in regards to a possible suspect. Investigation is on-going.
18-015410 Disorderly Intox. / Batt. LEO NE 4th St / E. Ocean Ave 2106 hrs
Officers responded to the above location following multiple reports of a fight. Officers made contact with an intoxicated female who was shouting and creating a disturbance. It was learned that the female was upset after her car keys were taken from her to prevent her from driving under the influence of alcoholic beverages. Officers attempted to calm the female who decided to kick the officers. The female, Aimee E. Carland 10/09/87, was arrested for Battery on L.E.O. and Disorderly Intoxication. The officers were not injured during the incident.
18-015420 Grand Theft Auto 200 NE 4th St 2203 hrs
Officers conducted a traffic stop on a Silver Buick Century (FL tag Z6VVE) at the above location. As officers spoke to the driver, BBPD Dispatch informed officers that the owner of the vehicle was currently at the BBPD police lobby attempting to report the vehicle as stolen. The vehicle’s owner responded to the location of the traffic stop and provided a sworn affidavit indicating that the person who was in possession of the vehicle had stolen the car 2 days prior. The juvenile driver was then arrested, charged with GTA, and turned over to J.A.C.
18-015431 Juvenile Disturbance The Inn – 480 W. BBB 2257 hrs
Officers responded to The Inn Hotel in reference to a large fight. Officers encountered approximately 500 juveniles in the parking lot of the business. It was learned that the juveniles were attending a party at the hotel. Officers dispersed the crowd from the parking lot. Some of the partygoers walked a block into the neighborhood behind the business and shot multiple rounds in the air from a handgun (18-015432). Officers searched the area for the juvenile shooters without success. All the remaining juveniles slowly left the area without incident.
18-15330 1414 hours Resist Arrest/Drug Paraphernalia/C.O.V 4700 N. Congress Ave.
Officer Esteves attempted to conduct a C.O.V. investigation with a panhandler, however; W/M, Darrell L. Baker, 04/30/80, immediately fled on-foot. Subject was told to stop, but continued running. Officer Esteves deployed his Taser and apprehended Baker after he fell to the ground. Baker was transported to J.F.K. for medical clearance. TOT PBCJ.
18-15247 Felony Retail Theft/Resisting Arrest Walmart 3200 Old Boynton Rd 0655 hours
Officers responded to a theft in progress. After arriving on scene B/M Kenn Placide and B/F Lakeisha Nixon were identified as working in concert to steal property from the store by loading a shopping cart and trying to exit. When Placide was approached by store personnel, he attempted to flee out of the store on foot but was met by officers. Placide attempted to run past officers but was tackled and after a brief struggle was taken into custody. Once the defendants were transported to the station, Placide complained of head pain and Nixon said she needed medical treatement. Both were transported to Bethesda for medical clearance and then TOT PBCJ. It should be noted that Nixon also had an FTA warrant.
18-015519 Burglary Auto (JC Penney) 801 N Congress Av 2130 hrs
Officers responded to the above address and met with the caller who reported a burglary to her vehicle. The caller told offices she parked her blue Honda Accord in the mall parking lot while she went shopping. When she returned to her vehicle, she noticed the interior of her vehicle was in disarray. The caller could not determine if anything was stolen from within her vehicle at the time of reporting.
18-15104 1341 hrs Burglary Auto 222 NE 9th Ave. (City Shop)
Two female juveniles were observed entering an employee’s personal vehicle, then running away after having occupied if for several minutes. Victim discovered the keys to the vehicle were stolen from the center console.Investigation on-going.
18-15025 Auto Burglary 122 Buttonwood Lane 0713 hours
Victim reports between 2200 03-15-18 and 0700 this date unknown suspect/s entered his 2014 Ford Fusion by breaking the passenger side front window. Misc. change and 2 electronic keys were taken.
