14-052970 18:08 hours Dispute R/A & Disorderly Intoxication 524 E Gateway Blvd.
Arrested: Willie James Lewis. Officers responded to Quick Stop in reference to a disturbance, Upon arrival several customers began to point at Lewis who was screaming obscenities. Officers approached Lewis who fled on foot. After a brief foot chase Lewis was caught and detained. Lewis was charged with R/A & Disorderly Intoxication and transported to PBCJ.
14-053011 01:50 hours Failed to Stop 1700 North Seacrest Blvd.
Officer Herny attempted to stop a tan Hyundai unknown temp tag for window tint. The vehicle accelerated to a high rate of speed and began to drive reckless, Officer Herny discontinued the stop and the vehicle continued North on I-95 without incident.
14-52913 0338 hrs Burglary Auto 1507 NE 15th Ct.
Victim parked his vehicle at 1230 and returned at 0330 hours to find his front passenger door window broken and his JVC touch screen radio stolen. No suspect information.
14-52940 1227 hrs Child Neglect Arrest 550 N. Congress Ave
W/M, Vahe Boyajian, 5-11-74, arrested after a witness observed him leave his 18 month old child in an unattended vehicle to shop inside Best Buy. The child was left sleeping in the vehicle for approximately 12 minutes while the vehicle was off and the windows were up. The child is in good spirits and in custody of the mother.
14-052863 18:21 hours Burglary Auto 801 North Congress Ave.
Victim advised that he locked his vehicle prior to entering the mall at 6:00 pm. Upon returning to his vehicle 30 minutes later discovered his Galaxy S4 Samsung phone, $300.00 cash, and a check in the amount of $450.00 dollars missing from under the driver seat. No forced entry noted.
14-052765 20:13 hours Recovered Stolen Vehicle 100 NE 14th Ave.
Defendant: Breon Shaquille Atwaters. Officer Herny conducted a traffic stop for minor traffic violation. The driver then fled on foot from the vehicle. After a short foot chase Atwaters was taken into custody without incident. Investigation revealed that the vehicle a 2003 Nissan Altima was stolen. Lantana police were notified of the recovery and location of the vehicle. Atwaters was transported to PBCJ.

Victim reported vehicle entered between 0400 and 1300 on November 26 by unknown person via unlocked door and took a laptop computer and 15 Xbox 360 games.

Victim reported unknown person attempted to enter the vehicle between 0854 and 1000 hours, by prying the window open and breaking it. No items missing from interior.

Victim reported unknown person entered the vehicle between 0815 and 1000 hours, by prying the window open and breaking it. No items missing from interior, but vehicle rummaged through.
14-52670 1025 hrs Burglary Auto 609 Manatee Bay Dr.
Victim reported unknown person “punched” the door lock to his vehicle between 2000 hours last night and 1000 hrs today. Inside, the ignition was tampered with. Possible suspect information exists from previous shift L & P arrest 14-52626 by Officer Schalk.
14-52584 Aggravated Assault Firearm 1461 NW 3rd St.
Keith Mason was arrested after investigation revealed that he retrieved a gun from within his vehicle and make verbal threats to another individual while firing his weapon in the air in the neighborhood with children present. It was also learned later that he is a convicted felon and was subsequently charged. Mason was processed and taken to PBCJ.
14-52626 Loitering and Prowling Manatee Bay Apartments
Juveniles were arrested when investigation revealed the two were acting suspicious and upon sight of the police they took flight. A perimeter was set up and eventually located the two subjects. It is believed that they did commit burglaries to open vehicles due to items found on the individuals but no victims have reported due to the time of occurrence. One juvenile was given an NTA and released but the other juvenile was sent up to DJJ as he is believed to be involved in another case that is actively being worked.
14-52636 Attempted Robbery 850 W. Gateway Blvd
White female entered 7-eleven and handed the clerk a note that said “Give me money”. When the other clerk came around the counter the female ran out of the store entered into a silver Nissan bearing a Tennessee tag (rental) and drove away.
The 2014 Holiday Toy Drive kicked off at Walmart on South Federay Hwy this weekend. In two days, officers and explorers collected hundreds of toys and more than $1500.00 cash to buy more toys. The next toy drive is December 7th at 1100am at the same Walmart.
