Officers and EMS responded and found w/m 03/27/1995 unconscious and not breathing. Life saving techniques were conducted; however, he was pronounced deceased a short time later by Bethesda medical staff.
16056596 0259 hours Residential Burglary (In-Progress) 915 Greenbriar Dr
Officers responded in reference to the homeowner (remotely watching from Cincinnati) home surveillance and advising that an unknown person was inside the residence. Officers set up a perimeter and observed b/m Wanchel Souffrant dob 02/15/1993 trying to exit a rear window with a flat screen tv in hand. Upon observing officers and K9 Filip, Souffrant complied with verbal commands and was taken into custody without incident. Wanchel was arrested, processed, and later lodged at PBCJ.
16-56488 1719 hours Overdose (Non-Fatal) 100 SW 2nd Avenue An unconscious male was located in a vehicle at the above address. He was transported to Bethesda Hospital in stable condition.
16-56561 2144 hours Overdose (Non-Fatal) 850 W. Gateway Blvd An unconscious male was located in a vehicle at the 7-11. He was transported to Bethesda Hospital in stable condition.
16-56573 2302 hours Overdose (Non-Fatal) Miner Road/Seacrest Blvd
An unconscious male was located near Rosemary Scrub Park. He was transported to Bethesda Hospital in stable condition.
16-56569 2231 hours Overdose (Fatal) 1499 S. Federal Hwy
A male was found deceased in his bathroom at Las Ventanas. It appeared to be a possible drug overdose. Detective Bureau and Crime Scene responded.
16-56586 0022 hours Shots Fired 140 W. Ocean Avenue
Officers responded to multiple reports of 8-10 shots fired in the area. The exact location was not determined due to conflicting reports from the area. No shell casings, damage, or evidence of a crime was located.
Several members of the department were recognized for their outstanding contributions at the Award’s Ceremony. Additionally, 9 new members were sworn-in and joined the proud ranks of the Boynton Beach Police Department.
