18- 054703 Robbery Strong-Arm 2401 N. Seacrest Blvd 1921 hours
Officers were dispatched to a delayed robbery at the above address. The officers met with the victim who said that he was robbed of his cell phone on Wednesday of last week (10/17/18). The victim said he opted not to report the incident and simply replaced his cell phone. The victim said, on today’s date, he received a call from the suspect who solicited cash from him for the safe return of the stolen cell phone. The victim described the suspect as a 4’10” tall b/m juvenile with black hair and brown eyes. There were no witnesses to the incident.
18-054752 GTA – Fleeing & Eluding N. Seacrest Blvd & MLK 2229 hours
Officers responded to an auto theft at the above location. The victim said she spotted her stolen vehicle in the area and the vehicle was being operated by her daughter who was the suspect in the theft. Officers spotted the vehicle at the 1400 of North Seacrest Blvd. Officers attempted a traffic stop but the vehicle fled from officers. Officers terminated their attempt at as the driver fled southbound on Seacrest Blvd. Shortly thereafter, the vehicle ran out of gas and came to a complete stop at the 600 block of N. Seacrest Blvd. The juvenile driver was taken into custody as she tried to run on foot. No property was damaged during the incident and no officers used force during the arrest of the juvenile. The juvenile was processed and turned over to JAC.
18-054789 Robbery Strong-Arm MLK & N. Seacrest Blvd 0124 hours
Officers responded to the report of a robbery at the above address. The victim told officers that he was attacked by a group of males who stole his bicycle. The officers remembered making contact with the victim just moments prior for operating a bicycle without a headlight. A responding officer spotted the victim’s bicycle among a group of subjects at the 100 block of W. MLK. The victim was brought to the location and positively identified one of the males as one of the robbers. The victim’s bicycle was recovered and the male ,Rayqwan M. Moody, was taken into custody. During arrest, Moody resisted the officers and Moody was tased as a result. Moody was also found to be in possession of 7 grams of Heroin. Moody was processed at BBPD and later turned over to the PBCJ.
18-053779 Susp. Incident / Shots Fired 1005 N. Seacrest Blvd 0008 hours
Officers were on patrol at the above address when they heard the sound of gunshots coming from the rear of the building. Responding officers spotted a white Nissan Altima (FL tag Y07-MSB) leaving the neighborhood behind the business at a high rate of speed. The officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop of the vehicle but the vehicle fled from the officers. Officers terminated their attempts at a traffic stop as the vehicle exited I-95 at Hypoluxo Rd. The fleeing Nissan struck the raised median of Hypoluxo Rd, which caused the vehicle’s tires to become disable. The two occupants of the Nissan bailed out of the vehicle and ran eastbound into a nearby plaza. Officers searched for the suspects with the assistance of the PBSO Eagle and a multi-agency K9 officers who were conducting a training exercise in the city. The driver, b/m Alfred Hunt 08/25/92, was subsequently apprehended by officers via the use of an X26 Taser. The passenger was able to elude capture.
18-054641 Motor Vehicle Crash (Vehicle vs. Bldg.) 709 S. Federal Hwy 1305hrs
Vehicle crashed into the building at 709 S. Federal Hwy striking the electrical box as well as what appeared to be a water line prompting a large emergency response. No reported injuries, however the scene was active for hours until it was safe to remove the vehicle and return the building to normal operation.
