K-9 Officer Schalk conducted a traffic stop on a 2011 Acura TL bearing FL IRWA72 for a traffic infraction. Schalk made contact with the driver, B/M Eveno Legros, who was initially found to be in possession of 2.5 grams. Legros was then placed under arrest. Search incident to arrest revealed an additional 1 pound and 12 ounces of marijuana within the vehicle. Legros was charged accordingly and TOT PBCJ.

18-050810 Burglary/Auto 217 N. Federal Hwy 1913 hours
Victim advised she parked her vehicle and walked into the gas station. When she came out an unknown subject (described as a B/M with a goatee wearing white shirt/black pants) reached into her (unlocked) vehicle and stole her pink purse from the driver’s seats. The subject rode off S/B Federal Hwy. on a bicycle.
18-050916 Failure to Stop/Hit and Run Seacrest Blvd/Wool bright Road 2204 hours
Officer Halpern observed a Grey Chevy Trail Blazer (FL registration GWTQ61) with two male black occupants make contact with another vehicle (18-050919 / DHSMV 81535792) as they failed to yield while turning north on Seacrest Blvd from Wool bright Road. BBPD units attempted to stop the vehicle (a reported signal 10) however the occupants refused to stop. BBPD units terminated the stop after it continued to flee on I95.
18-50755 Aggravated Battery Firearm 2010 N Federal Hwy 0634 hours
Units responded to the above location in reference to a female with a gunshot wound to the leg. D-bureau responded and took over the on-going investigation.
One non-fatal overdose on the shift.
