Boynton Beach Police are investigating the armed robbery of a 92-year-old man in the parking lot outside of his home on Monday afternoon.
The man told police that he had just gotten out of his car around 2:20 p.m., when another car sped into the parking lot on West Ocean Drive. Two men exited the car and demanded his car keys. One of the suspects then struck the victim in the face with a handgun, causing him to fall to the pavement. The suspect then took the man’s wallet, which contained cash and credit cards. The suspects then got back into the car and fled eastbound on West Ocean Drive.
The victim described the suspects as white males, approximate 17-19 years of age, with short hair and a muscular build. The victim could not provide the make or model of the suspect vehicle except that it was an older model 4-door car.
The victim suffered minor injuries to his face and wrist. We are not releasing his name due to his age and the violent nature of this crime.
