UPDATE: Boynton Beach Police are investigating a traffic crash that injured four people on Tuesday morning at the intersection of Congress Avenue and Old Boynton Road.
A black Chevy Equinox, driven by Burneydex Dieujuste, 25, of Lake Worth, was heading northbound on Congress Avenue at around 11:55 a.m. attempting to make a left turn to go west on Old Boynton Road.
A white Hyundai Sonata, driven by Ashlee Mauvais, 18, of Lake Worth, was traveling south on North Congress Avenue, and entered the intersection, striking the front of the Chevy. The back seat passenger, identified as Joanne Derosier, 18, of Lake Worth, was ejected from the car.
The bicyclist, Nelson Rodrigues, 36, of Boynton Beach, was thrown from the bike. He, Derosier and the juvenile were taken to Delray Medical Center, where they are in stable condition. Mauvais was transported to Bethesda Hospital.
Dieujuste and the passenger in his car, identified as Phalens Joseph, 27, of Boynton Beach were treated for minor injuries on scene. The investigation is ongoing.
