Combat Auto Theft

This program allows officers to conduct an investigative traffic stop between the hours of 1 a.m. and 5 a.m., on any vehicle that displays a C.A.T. decal on the lower left portion of the vehicle’s rear windshield. If the driver or occupant is not the same as the registered owner, dispatch will contact the owner for verification of permission to occupy the vehicle. If the driver or occupant does not have permission, the officer will verify if the owner wishes to press charges for grand theft auto.
