This is a voluntary 12-month probation-like program for first time juvenile misdemeanants. The purpose of the program is to divert the first time juvenile offender from the traditional court system into a department-based program. The goal of the program is to hold the juvenile accountable for his or her actions, and to recognize the first time offender is not a habitual criminal.
