We are investigating two traffic crashes at two different times Sunday at the same intersection.
The first crash occurred around 11:40 a.m., at Lawrence Road and Gateway Boulevard when a 2019 Ford F-150 ran a red light at a high rate of speed and struck a 2003 Honda Civic. The impact caused the Civic to hit a 2015 Honda Odyssey. The 24-year-old driver of the Civic, and the 45-year-old driver of the Odyssey were taken to a local hospital with injuries.
The second crash occurred at 3:55 p.m. at the same intersection when a 2018 Hyundai Elantra failed to yield and turned left in front of a 2017 Toyota Camry. The Camry then stuck a concrete wall before coming to rest. The 86-year-old driver of the Elantra and the 78-year-old driver of the Camry were both taken to local hospitals with injuries.
Anyone who witnessed either crash is asked to call Traffic Homicide Investigator Lawrence Rini at 561-742-6853.
