Officers responded to vehicle burglary that occurred at the Racetrack gas station. The officers made contact with the victim who stated that unknown persons stole a batch of cigarettes from his delivery trucks. The victim said the batch was valued at more than $4,800 dollars.

Area hospitals were checked and were advised to contact BBPD if any possible victims were to come in for treatment.

Officers responded to Kohl’s to investigate a shoplifting allegation. Officers made contact with a store employee who provided information related to a retail theft which included video of the incident. The store employee said the suspect, a heavy set white male, approximately 6’00, 220 lbs, wearing a gray jacket and a tan hat, was able to flee the store with more than $300 worth of unpaid merchandise. Officers checked the area for the suspect without success.

The officers learned that the injured male was riding an unregistered ATV when he collided with a blue Hyundai Santa Fe. The injured male was declared a trauma alert by BBPD paramedics. THI and Crime Scene Investigators responded to the scene to investigate.

Officers on patrol came across a black Nissan that was stopped in the roadway. The officers noticed that the Nissan was occupied by a female who was asleep behind the wheel. After determining that the female was not in medical distress, Traffic Officer Castro conducted a DUI investigation which led to the arrest of the female driver. The driver was taken to the PBCJ BAT for additional processing.
