Officers were dispatched to a delayed vehicle burglary that took place in the parking garage of Bethesda Hospital. The officers met with the caller and learned that unknown persons broke into the caller’s white Nissan Sentra to steal a Michael Kors purse, Wallet, and a gold necklace.

Jose Mesa and Elizabeth Garcia decided to steal merchandise from the business. They were arrested and issued a Notice To Appear.
19-061334 Burglary (Auto) 639 E. Ocean Ave. 1220hrs.
A witness observed the suspect, later identified as Kenneth Ellis, break the front passenger window of a 2007 Toyota and steal items from within the vehicle. Officers were directed to Ellis by the witness who kept visual contact with him until his apprehension by BBPD Officers. Ellis was processed and transported to PBSO Main Jail.

19-061195 Strong-arm Robbery 392 N. Congress Ave 1745 hours
Officers responded to Sally Beauty supply in reference to a shoplifting incident. The officers met with the store manager who told officers how she confronted a known shoplifter after watching her steal merchandise from the store. The manager said the suspect returned some of the stolen items but the manager suspected that there were more stolen merchandise concealed in the suspect’s purse. As the manager attempted to recover the concealed merchandise, the suspect battered the manager and fled from the store. Ongoing investigation.
19-061273 DUI / Poss. Of Cocaine 320 N. Congress Ave 0117 hours
Traffic Officer D. Castro conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle for an observed infraction. The officer made contact with the driver who exhibited signs of impairment. The officer asked the driver, George W. Kleier, if he would consent to a series of Field Sobriety Exercises. The driver refused to participate in the FSE. The driver also refused to provide samples of his breath at the PBSO BAT. In addition, the driver was found to be in possession of 2 small bags of cocaine. Kleier was charged with DUS, Possession of Cocaine, and was lodged at the Palm Beach County Jail.
19-061023 Susp. Inc. Shots Fired Arezzo Circle 1617 hours
Officers responded to a suspicious incident at the above location. The officers learned of a shots fired incident that was initially reported by PBSO. Responding officers met with a witness who observed to males firing a handgun in to the canal at rear of the address. The officers checked the area for the suspects. The officers did not locate any the suspects. The officers did not locate any physical evidence at the spot where the person was seen shooting the handgun.

Unknown suspect smashed the windows of three vehicles in the parking lot and stole property from within the vehicles.
