Violent Crimes Task Force investigation nets 17 arrests

Responding to pleas of a community besieged by drug dealing and violence, Boynton Beach Police today announce the arrests of 17 individuals whose crimes have threatened their safety.
The arrests culminate the first phase of Operation Firestorm, an investigation by members of the Boynton Beach Police Department’s Violent Crimes Task Force that has spanned several months.
“We stand with and in support of our residents, who want to be free of drug dealers and the violence they bring,” Police Chief Michael G. Gregory said. “We remain committed to arresting those individuals who menace neighborhoods for their illegal financial gain.”
During the course of the investigation, which is ongoing, the arrested individuals sold drugs, including fentanyl, heroin, cocaine and crack, to undercover officers and confidential informants. Many of the sales took place near local businesses, churches and parks.
Since its inception in March of this year, the Boynton Beach Police Department’s Violent Crimes Task Force has arrested 125 individuals, seized 34 guns, and confiscated 249.9 grams of cocaine; 212 grams of heroin; 4.3 pounds of marijuana; 21.4 grams of MDMA; and hundreds of opioid pills.
“The community has asked the police department to do more to stop the drug dealing and violence in their neighborhoods,” Gregory said. “Our Violent Crimes Task Force has done exceptional work as highlighted by these statistics, and we will stay focused on the desires of our community members for public safety.”

The following individuals have been arrested/charged in connection with Operation Firestorm:

Charles Alford, 64 – Sale of cocaine within 1,000 feet of a place of worship; possession of cocaine with intent to sell
Davidson Auguste, 20 – Sale of heroin within 1,000 feet of a store
Nathan Brown, 45 – Sale of cocaine within 1,000 feet of a park; possession of cocaine with intent to sell within 1,000 feet of a park
Quentin Brown, 29 – Sale of crack cocaine within 1,000 feet of a park; possession of crack cocaine with intent to sell within 1,000 feet of a park
Craig Byrd, 56 – Sale of cocaine within 1,000 feet of a park; possession of cocaine with intent to sell within 1,000 feet of a park
Alvin Ceaser, 36 – Sale of cocaine within 1,000 feet of a park
Anthony Crawford, 44 – Sale of crack cocaine within 1,000 feet of a park; possession of crack cocaine with intent to sell within 1,000 feet of a park
Anthony Denson, 47 – Sale of cocaine; sale of cocaine within 1,000 feet of a church; possession of cocaine with intent to sell within 1,000 feet of a church
Nathaniel Hardiman, 57 – Sale of heroin with intent to sell within 1,000 feet of a convenience store; unlawful use of a two-way communication device
