In an ongoing effort to shed light on the unsolved 1996 murder of Victoria Rose Miller, the Boynton Beach Police Department today released a bonus episode in the Rosebud Podcast.
Holding onto Hope, is a 17-minute Q&A between BBPD Crime Scene Investigator Rob Eichorst and the podcast’s producer, Intern Maxx-Anne Miller. Eichorst did not process the initial crime scene on May 11, 1996, but he has studied the case since it was brought to his attention by a retired lieutenant in 2005.
“He was coming back doing work on a case as a reserve officer,” Eichorst said. “He happened to bring the case to me and told me about it…I began looking into the evidence and reprocessing things, and pretty much stayed on the case ever since.”
Rosebud is a six-episode podcast, presented by the Boynton Beach Police Department, that seeks to breathe new life into this cold case. Victoria Rose Miller’s naked body was found in the brush of a vacant lot off Miner Road. She had been brutally beaten to death.
