Complaints from community members about drug sales in their neighborhoods led to the arrests of 14 people in the City of Boynton Beach over the past three days.
Additional arrests are expected as a result of Operation Exit 57, a five month investigation by detectives on the Boynton Beach Police Department’s Violent Crimes Task Force that focused on street level narcotics sales.
“Our community is the driving force behind this investigation,” Interim Police Chief Vanessa Snow said. “We appreciate them coming forward and sharing their concerns with us. This is how we work together to rid our streets of illegal drug activity. We’re just getting started.”
The 14 individuals who were arrested face charges that include trafficking in fentanyl, sale of cocaine, sale of oxycodone, possession of heroin and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
