A suburban Boca Raton man is in custody this morning after DNA linked him to the February 2021 attempted armed robbery of a man in a Boynton Beach parking lot.
Bryan Beska, 39, was arrested at a house on Maple Wood Drive west of Boca Raton at around 9 a.m. by members of the U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force.
Beska is identified as the man who struck another man in the head with a blunt object, possibly a pipe, and attempted to reach into his left pocket in a retail parking lot at 550 N. Congress Ave., on Feb. 11, 2021.
Crime Scene Investigator Tina Stidham responded to process the scene, and last week, detectives were notified that a DNA sample she obtained from the victim matched a profile taken from Beska. Kudos to CSI Stidham on her phenomenal work.
Beska is charged with attempted robbery with a weapon and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
