Victim reported her 2018 silver Toyota Highlander was stolen from her residence within the previous 20 minutes. At 0029 hours, Officer Nalerio located the vehicle in the area of S Circle Dr. When a traffic stop was attempted on the vehicle, it fled causing officers to discontinue their efforts. At 0200 hours, the vehicle was located unoccupied in the parking lot of 420 NE 17th Ave. Vehicle retrieved by the owner.

Management contacted BBPD regarding a burglary that occurred at the office overnight. The suspect smashed the glass on the front door and made entry into the business. Items taken from inside included an Acer laptop ($1000) and a Sony video camera ($100). Video surveillance showed a black male with a shirt wrapped around his face and gloves on his hands enter the business and remove the items. Surveillance entered into evidence. Investigation ongoing.

The victim was delivering a pizza at the above address. He left his car running in front of the house and it was subsequently entered by a black male juvenile who fled in the vehicle. Officer Rini located the vehicle abandoned at NW 1stSt. and NW 8th Ave. A black male juvenile matching the description was located in the area and was positively identified by the victim. Search incident to arrest, the victim’s wallet and phone were found in the juvenile’s pocket. The victim’s property was returned as well as the vehicle. Juvenile was tot JAC.
