Going on Vacation?
Request an Extra Patrol
An extra patrol notification is simply that; an advisory to your police department that you are going out of town and would like your home or business periodically checked. The City of Boynton Beach nor their employees can guarantee the security of your property during the extra patrol period. For further information, contact a patrol supervisor at 561-742-6100.
Crime Prevention Tips:
- Have someone pick up your newspapers and mail.
- Interior and exterior light timers are effective.
- Have a trusted neighbor park their car in your driveway during random times.
- Motion sensor lights are an excellent deterrent.
Never say “we aren’t home” on your voicemail or on social media.
COMMUNITY PROGRAMS
Bicycle / Generator Registration Program
Residents can register bicycles and/or generators with the police department. If your bicycle or generator is stolen, the serial numbers will be easily accessed from our database and entered into a nationwide stolen database to assist in recovery. This will significantly increase the chance of recovering your stolen property.
Register bicycles here. Register generators here.
